All this talk of Boards and investment reminds me.  I saw Scudamore on Saturday after the game and he was with someone who very very very much looked like the old Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck. Probably something and nothing but struck me as a little weird that BB would want to take in City v Rotherham on a Saturday afternoon even if he is good mates with Scudamore.

I have heard from a knowledgeable source that Scudamore is still closely involved with the club, and that new investment is very much being sought. Also heard from same source that a club representative is in USA on a similar quest. But will anything come of it? Seems unlikely to me the way the BS thing is set up.

I've had the same pair of Monitor Audio speakers since the 80s. They've moved house with me 14 times, survived being dropped down a stone flight of stairs, lived through a party that blew up the amp powering them and worked after Mrs Robbo #1 threw a jug of water in one of the bass cones.

    I can't recommend them enough.

I've had my Silver 6s for ages.

I added some MA small book shelf and centre speakers for my AV system. All in rosewood finish

    Love 'em!

Will spend £1,200 renewing tomorrow but only if I can have a “physical” ticket again, does anyone know if this can be done on line or do I have to ring?

If you are renewing a season card that you already have, there are options to either have a new digital ticket or renew your card, which you are told to retain.

I'm just extremely angry with the people that made this farcical decision to sack Pearson for Manning.  Just so unbelievablely arrogant. If Tinnion had a hand in this then he 100% needs to go with Manning.

    Absolutely no "if" about it.

He's the right manager for FGR right now imo @Frenchay Red

I see managers as being the right fit at the right time for Clubs.

I won't go over well documented stuff from the past re his time here...I know I'm in a minority on that aspect.

However...I said  before FGR appointed him, that he was exactly the type of manager to keep them up in that Division. I hope he does.

    Fair enough👍

I also think he was the right one for us at the time. Harshly treated and from my experience a lovely guy to chat with.

Anyway, back on track, I wish him all the best at FGR and hope he does what seemed the impossible not long ago.

Last two results against Walsall and Bradford have been impressive, as both of those teams hadn't lost in 5.

Sadly Grimsby won tonight as well.

    Hope Cotts keeps em up.

Fair play Spud, you've 💯 changed your opinion of Cotts from when he came to us as manager😁

I've got quite a good memory, glad you have seen sense 😉👍

Reading that was genuinely really affecting. It also goes to the heart of the issue, in every sense. Weighing up financial arguments against emotional factors that are impossible to quantify is, well…. Impossible. I’m truly sorry about your Dad.

Why not join Senior Reds Cliff. Make new friends with a shared love of the club. Some who go home and away to every game. Some who go to every home game, some go occasionally and some who no longer go. It's a good mix. Ex players such as Geoff M and Paul C and Tom R are regulars and if you talked to the right person you would know exactly why Nige was sacked.
