  1. 2 consecutive promotions would be a good effort but I doubt they could make the next step.

If their owner really is as rich as they say he is there's no reason they can't be in the championship in the next few years. However if he's not they can slip right back where they came from!

It's going to be an interesting summer for both clubs. Both sets of fans will see whether their respective owners really are going for it as we have been made to believe.

  2. On way back from the game now and I feel happy we got a point!

We did not deserve all three points tomlin used his magic to score and other than a great chance with reid beating the keeper we looked second best. Brentford played some good footy and rarely lost the ball in position.

The only negative from our performance was that we struggled to keep the ball in the final third

Local derby; five games left; two points off automatic promotion. Surely, surely that means a sell-out today by the self-proclaimed greatest supporters in the world. But no, it isn't.

Compare and contrast with our season of disappointment and a bigger stadium to fill and yet 95% of our games still sold out.

    Rovers - know your place.

They don't understand statistics red some of them seem to think home and away crowds double if they get into the championship.

  4. Speaking with a sag mate this morning and the delusion has got much worse than i first feared who told me that we are going down next year as they overtake us and go up to the championship!! :rofl2br:

They are very jealous and that's all there is to it and if roles were reversed I'm pretty sure we would spout hippocritical s*** out of our ass.

It's like they are brainwashed from an early age by mummy and daddy to think that they have more fans, better atmosphere, produce better players, harder mob etc etc.

My personal favourite is "we took more to Wembley than you". Yet we sold out and played an opposition who can take more fans than Shrewsbury, Grimsby and Doncaster.

Pointless rant but something for the hundreds of rovers fans that read our forum to look at :)

Talk to anyone who goes to both grounds.   Actually its an interesting thing, and I think has it had something to the ground design.   I recall going to the old open away end at the gate and you can here virtually nothing from your fans. A few weeks later we had you again, I couldn't get a ticket and went in the city end (East stand) I think. It was loud. I looked up at the stand roof and there was a metal drop down which would have stopped the sound escaping from the stand.  A few years back when we were in the new away end, the one still used unless changed recently, we were losing and I wanted to be swallowed whole!! The only good thing is we couldnt here anything from the city fans and it made me feel much better.  So, I reckon the gate as I knew it had poor acoustics, which maybe has now been rectified.  There r other obvious things, all seater grounds r crap compared to terraces, maybe u don't get that at all anymore in the championship, or can't remember.  The mem is small, tight, mostly terraced, it has a great atmosphere. Although no doubt to be largely lost if we end up in a sterile, mass produced, all seater, looks like everywhere else stadium.

Couldn't agree more. With all the away games I have been to especially this year, I have been suprised with lack of atmosphere produced from home fans.

Birmingham, wolves and reading were silent and in certain games this year at home we have been as well possibly due to our league position.

To answer the post that implies other fans have said that the mem has a better atmosphere is a ridiculous statement to make couldn't agree more with Kim Il sung.

Frankly, I saw two teams playing garbage and that we couldn't beat them, and equally that they couldn't beat us, reflects poorly on both sides. They were, in spite of their form, easily one of the poorer sides I have seen this division. As for us, we'll I can't profess to be a fan of Bobby Reid but I thought we were crying out for him, as well as Kodjia. as no-one had a clue what to do in the final third and Reid's vision and Kodjia's unpredictability could've unlocked them.

Reid is too lightweight for me and although he has shown glimpses of a creative midfielder he just isn't consistent enough comparable to the other midfielders we have

Not back to his best by any means. Failed to impose himself on the game. Improved second half, but that wasn't hard. Pack actually did more defensive work than him, and also passed the ball forward with variable accuracy but did put us on the front foot in the early part of the second. Korey was under pressure on the ball and looked shakey

Shame but then he has been out for a few weeks. I feel much more confident when korey is playing and rarely notice him put a foot wrong.

Any team worth their place in this division ought to have seen us off today. Shocking game, two teams playing very poorly. We had zero creativity. Lucky to get out of tonight as we did. I expect - and hope -  there will be some stern words in training tomorrow

I think that's a little unfair on us and rotherham a team with the best form in the division !

Still I confess I didn't go tonight but sounded scrappy

Just want this season to end and then hopefully Lee will be given the resources to build a proper Championship squad, but it will require quite an outlay.  One positive is Wes, whom I still sort of believe in at this level.  And what about Osbourne could he make it too? Not so long ago he was a star for us.

Osbourne was never the same after his Injury before the start of last season and I think he is out for the season at wimbledon

That was a diabolical game. Both teams were absolute horse shit. Unfortunately the rules of football don't allow both teams to get no points, because that's what they deserve.

    An absolute horror show.

That's how warnock plays though. High pressure game forcing mistakes and disjointed play. How did Smith look tonight btw?
