A number of Chelsea fans on Twitter surprised he's gone to L1 and not the championship.
This annoys me about premier league fans, how often do they watch lower league footy? I know Chelsea probably have the best youth system in the country now and had around 40 players out on loan last season, but the championship is a very strong league now!

Remember the old days when City used to play clubs like that? Must be 50 years ago.
I think his point was that after all these years you still play clubs like that. You havent really improved as a club and without a new stadium or upgrade of the mem i cant see you progressing.
We however have stepped up a gear and played much better oppostion 8 out of the last 10 years playing champio ship footy i think?

It's a shame they are playing MK away on a Tuesday night, otherwise we could put an end to this nonsense about away support once and for all.
Couldnt see us taking more than 500 if we were same position as them.

By the way, I meant to ask how the pies were at Scunthorpe. Presumably there were no problems with half time queues.
Nearly as good as yours apparrently but they win awards for football related qualities.
By the way just randomly browsing :

6000 average attendance last time in league 1?

Yet again a rovers fan is speechless regarding an attendance debate.
If someone could produce the stastistics of away attendances over the last 30 years please

Bless em,
Not only have the radioactive toxins emanating from chernobyl mutated their physical appearance into something only their mother or sister could love, they have also caused the sags to completely lose their minds and leave them devoid of reason!

I'm not convinced we'd have taken 4,000. It wouldn't be such a big deal for us. I know I would have struggled to get excited about playing anyone's reserves in the second round of the league cup.
Dont agree with this. History says different we took that to coventry in the cup under johnson in league 1 didnt we ?

Pretty sure the "knocking" is taking the piss out of them bigging up their support (once again) to numbers that just aren't true. Like the tweet saying they'd have taken 8000
Yup delusions of grandeur from those lot again. If they didn't keep banging on about being the worlds best fans then we wouldnt be slating them as much.
Some of our fans must have short memories on how the sags were utterly obsessed with us during our last championship stint and again when they got relegated to non league. Relegation parties and the several threads dedicated to us (before we had the rovers thread).
Just the way rivalry is!

Bit of perspective needed a game 4 hours away on a Tuesday night in the league cup. Plus Radio Bristol said the attendance was closer to 150.
Yup fair play to those who went!
Rovers fans always seem to forget that we averaged more than them when we were in the same league unless bar a couple years where we were at the low end of the table and we were near the top. Hopefully some of the older boys can confirm!
I say hats off to them because they are not a complete joke of a club anymore.

Some perspective, for the small club they are. Two crowds of over 9k is pretty impressive. Last time they were in that division they averaged around 6k I think!
Back to back promotions always have that effect, you see it with other teams and then after season or two the crowds drop again.

So, to summarise their season so far;
Stuffed by Scunthorpe
Beat Oxford who got beaten by Fleetwood tonight and look like they`re going straight back down
Beaten at home by a team we beat 6-0
Oh and your ground looks like a nuclear disaster !!
