This. Anywhere on the Chiltern Line, from Wycombe or Amersham down, get a hotel there and a short trip into the smoke. Wycombe branch linked to Wembley.

Not the slow Amersham single track line! You want the Banbury line so High Wycombe, Beaconsfield or Gerard’s Cross.  High Wycombe has the biggest station and most train options, and there are reasonable budget hotels there too.

Pointless comparison, unless you think we acted too quickly to sack Brian Tinnion

  3. Lots of supply problems. Well done City for getting our kits on sale. We often (rightly) criticise the club over kit sales but the club deserves credit for getting this right where others have failed their fans

Here's a question for people in the know or would care to comment; I believe Stoke have some FFP issues to deal with. Its no secret that they've been trying to offload Afobe and his wages whilst under contract. So managing to do another deal with Millwall I guess to take his wages off the books only to go out and sign Dwight Gale presumably on bigger wages. How is that at all possible????

Stoke just signed Gayle and O’Shea so can’t be struggling too much with FFP

If it's sunny get yourself to the Avon Packet and have a cider with the ducks

The ducks have been barred. Didn’t pay for their bills.

It may look shocking but structures are supposed to move and are designed to absorb and bend - known as plasticity, if it's rigid it's more likely to be brittle and will snap, the engineer in me wonders what the tolerances are or what tests and simulations they have done to find that out.

Finding out they haven't tested it would be far more mental.

    It’s elasticity, not plasticity

So things have developed further at Coventry United. The club have announced that they're going back to being part-time. Emma Sanders has tweeted elsewhere that this could mean some players/staff would have to leave to free up finances...

I’m not sure that’s the best form of sign off

I think some credit needs to be given to the Hungarians… they are currently topping a group consisting of ourselves, Germany and Italy. I doubt anybody gave them a chance but they’ve done really well.

England though…. We are on our worst run of results since I can remember. Zero goals scored from open play in 360 minutes of football… Not the sort of form you want to be taking into the world cup.

Hungary illustrating the benefit of employing a top level coach
