  1. Agree, superb. Best game he’s had for us and looks very good in a back 3. We know his limitations but as a 1v1 defender there’s not many better than him in the league
  2. Thought Knight played well that game Gardner-Hickman struggled imo. Felt like he needed a Williams/James next to him unfortunately both were absent
  3. He might be right but that’s not what the squad needs going forward. Has a lot to say about anyone but himself considering his record with Watford managers
  4. Loan and option to buy would do for me, if it’s a straight loan then I’d prefer it to gamble £5m on a player not proven at this level
  5. Oh I’m with you around competition, not entirely convinced around Bajic as number 2 but similarly I’ve only watched him against Lincoln where he was let down by the team in front of him. Bentley was on too much of a wage to be second choice to Max
  6. His first mistake since Ipswich at home and this is how some people react? Bloke is the biggest scapegoat at the club because people have this weird obsession with Bentley. Both Pearson and Manning have opted for him as our number 1, I trust them over everyone who says he’s not good enough
  7. Didn’t even realise how cropped the one with Tinnions son looked! The Knight one with sandals is quality
  8. New job at Charlton for him, best of luck to him. Seems a great guy and did a good job for us
  9. Was actually at this game, started on the right of a back 3 before moving up to striker after about half an hour!
  10. Struggled on his loans last season but at Hull he’s been very good I think. Not sure he’ll make it at Man City but think he has the potential to be a Premier League player definitely
  11. Played them twice and picked up 4 points, arguably should’ve done the double. Think he’s a very good player Carvalho but feel like they’re better off strengthening at the back than up front
  12. Somehow I think he’d do worse than that looking at his Twitter account recently
  13. That is incredibly harsh to say they were straight at him, he had to react to push the one from Fornals away from danger and the one Pring almost put into his own net (presumably the one you’re talking about?) he had to be decisive on where the ball has to go and he was able to block and get it away from danger
  14. The one thing that impressed me watching the goal back is how we pressed Emerson into playing it long to win it high. Very few touches but a very pleasing goal in many ways
  15. I said in an earlier tweet the defenders were ball watching hence why I said partially. I guess you can just say he was hesitant when the ball came over but taking nothing away from Bowen and his movement. I’m one of Max’s biggest fans so I don’t want it to come across that I’m scapegoating him
  16. I know we lost but Southampton we were excellent We needed fresh legs as West Ham were gaining momentum. All gave us more energy and even Cornick which I was surprised about in the position he came on did well imo
  17. That’s why I said partially, Bowen ran off quite easily I thought. You could argue he was caught in no man’s land but he did round Max quite well (thought Bowen was excellent today) but I didn’t think there was any tracking of his run Personally think he’s quite good at commanding his area. Does a lot of high claims and our record from set pieces has got a lot better since he’s come in to the team
  18. He’s better than I thought if he has control of stopping shops!
  19. Could argue that he was partially at fault for the Bowen goal but he also made two excellent saves from Bowen and Ward-Prowse to keep us into the game allowing us to grab the leveller. Great reaction from Max and the team today after that early set back
  20. I agree but I always think the main difference between him and a couple of others is a couple of sparks and we got what we paid for back. Pretty sure we terminated Palmer’s contract early if I’m not mistaken?
  21. In fairness, when you look at it 21/22 was a very poor season for him (even though he rarely started) his other two full seasons at the club he hit double figures for league goals. Not entirely sure he’s worth the high fee we paid but he has contributed Could argue Tomlin but we got our fee back and he did contribute a fair few goals and assists atleast. That whole summer window and even the January window was a shambles with how it was ran
  22. There was an U21 game scheduled for today called off. Presumably mid week against Bournemouth McCrorie, Roberts and maybe Murphy get some minutes, sounds like it will likely be Yeboah in the squad tomorrow
  23. Lansdown provides the funds but doesn’t choose how we spend it, Mark Ashton and Lee Johnson are at fault. Kasey Palmer coming in is the most pointless waste of money I can possibly remember and that takes some doing
