Guardiola Ball is NOT the Way
Charlie BCFC replied to Scrumpys Dietary Advisor..'s topic in Football Chat
New Years Eve was yesterday mate, you can stop drinking now -
With respect, saying he can be improved upon and saying he’s a league 2 player are completely different things. I think most people on here want a new striker in but saying he’s league 2 level is absolute lunacy
-
Naismith a definite keep for me, great player Roberts would work well under Manning and still very young, be stupid to sell him imo Bajic can see but think he needs an EFL loan and we need to bring in a more experienced keeper to compete with Max Max stays for me most likely as number 1, if we get better though you also wouldn’t see me complaining
-
It’s a good run of form and do think you look a lot better under Taylor, top half as you said is a possibility although think you’re too far off the playoffs to make a dent this season. What I will say though is anything can happen in a new managers bounce it’s whether you can sustain it. Yes you beat the top 2 in incredible results but you’ve also dropped points at home to Cheltenham and lost to Crawley in the EFL trophy
-
When you put it like that it’s even more controversial than your original post
-
26 is young for a goalkeeper and I don’t think his kicking is as bad as people make out especially now he isn’t told to kick it in the air towards the wingers every time now at goal kicks. Tanner is a good reliable player and perfect to compete with McCrorie. Just signed a new deal aswell, Knight-Lebel isn’t a right back and Leeson isn’t even regularly starting at NLN level so that’s a mental thing to say. Conway is on 6 goals in 17 games which isn’t a bad record at all. In comparison he got 9 in 34 games last season so is on track to get better, I agree we need a new striker but if we were to get rid of a forward it would be Cornick imo. James’ contract is up and do get your reasoning to replace him long term but fact of the matter is he’s still a good player that can contribute and anyone new would need bedding in. I would give him another year personally
-
Completely agree with this, probably still the best team to come to the Gate this season for me. They were fearless in August with a pretty similar squad, last night however they seemed to be happy with a point which I don’t think benefits them in the long run
-
Didn’t the FA Cup used to have its own streaming platform for a bit? Personally, think the Sky red button coverage is awful better than nothing I guess but it can get really annoying
-
This should answer your question

Rooney pulling out all the stops - Now Sacked

Completely agree, I’m not that confident not only because our recent record there is terrible but they’re going to want to put things right -
Match Report: Manning sends in exterminators to empty Hornets nest
Charlie BCFC replied to Olé's topic in Football Chat
In fairness thought he was good pre Manning this season, always thought he was a decent player but there are issues with keeping him fully fit -
A4 derby today, Bath winning 2-1. Good second half, Chippenham really unlucky not to knick a point at the death with a disallowed goal
-
He should really, on the pitch overall think we’ve had a good year. Ended last season very well including the Man City game of course and heading into Christmas we are better off than this time last year. Him, Fleming and Euell deserve a lot of credit for it
-
Very sorry for your loss, RIP fellow red
-
Yeah I do get what you mean there, my viewpoint didn’t change at the start of the month and you would’ve seen me comment after all games. In fairness so has the OP
-
Have no idea how you’ve concluded that from what I said but ok I’ll bite. I was annoyed as you were when he went but we have a new manager who deserves more credit when we win than “Nige would’ve done the same” when they are not the same person.
-
He was arguing with the fans sat next to the away bench throughout the entire time he was there. Bloke’s a helmet who has got loud in podcasts where he’s compared himself to players like Harry Kane

Not once have I said Pearson has done a bad job, obviously he’s going to use Pearson’s squad as he’s had no windows and 8 games in charge. But look at the amount of minutes Mehmeti had under Pearson and I’m not saying he deserved to start but Bell had a run of games without being dropped when he was really poor. With QPR’s new manager bounce and how well they started I think we’d have lost that game, Huddersfield can see your point. James never used to get subbed under Pearson, he does now not because he’s done bad but we need that energy. Merry Christmas to you, I’ve moved on from Pearson I just wanted to say my piece on people bringing up when we win the game instead of praising the actual manager
-
Merry Christmas all, hope you all have a great day whatever you’re doing
-
You seriously need to get over it, I’m not convinced we’d have turned it around under him. He wouldn’t have started Mehmeti and there’s no chance he’s bringing James off for Williams. Fact of the matter is, we’ve beaten two teams that were in the playoffs when we faced them, that deserves credit
-
I think we’ll keep James, has mentioned in interviews he wants to stay. Realistically James/King/Williams are all out of contract and nothing is confirmed around TGH signing. So will need some continuity and James is the perfect man for that imo
-
Vyner, Knight and Mehmeti were excellent I thought
-
Disagree, last 3 games he’s been improving and running with more purpose. Could see him always wanting the ball which for me is a sign of confidence

Not sure we were overly lucky tonight when you see that pen given against us

Performed decent for City but not great on his loans. Infamously made the squad in LJs final game
