  1. But even the second half, we were poor but we were very possession heavy. Pearson sides wouldn’t be that possession heavy and would force it forward
  2. We’re better in possession than we were under Pearson, we kept trying to rush it forward but now we’re keeping and (GOD FORBID!!!) play it sideways to keep chances alive and create higher quality chances Hernandez had one shot off the post but other than that not a lot else, we had a Knight header well saved, two Conway chances and Sykes narrowly wide. Middlesbrough scoreline flattered, Vyner own goal a freak and we had many more chances with Conway and Mehmeti coming to mind Again Middlesbrough we limited well other than a mad 5 minute period, Southampton had chances but O’Leary not massively tested a hell of a strike with their right backs weaker foot was the difference Vyner freak own goal v Boro, Tanner caught on the ball v Boro, a lot of people mentioned Weimann yesterday for their first and Vyner completely got the wrong side of Idah for the winner
  3. So everyone who has a different opinion to you must be a Nigel Pearson hating robot from Bristol Sport?
  4. Yeah it’s very expensive, but that’s everywhere you go in fairness. Every sports event I’ve gone to recently prices are extortionate, not ideal
  5. I’ll list them: - We look better in possession - We’ve created better chances than the opposition in 3 of the 4 games and the only one being Southampton where they wouldn’t count Conway’s big chance when he tried to round the keeper - Beat Middlesbrough who are one of the form teams in the league - First half of Southampton was the best we’ve played for a while - Out of possession structure for the most part been very good, only things that have let us down is player mistakes We need to be more clinical and better in second halves but that’s something to work on
  6. QPR for me had the wrong manager for the players they had, I remember last season where Beale’s QPR were one of the best teams that came to Ashton Gate playing the way Cifuentes has them now. Ainsworth isn’t a bad manager but his style of football for me doesn’t suit the likes of Chair and Willock
  7. Read my post again, I didn’t say it was THE worst but it was one of the worst periods, I don’t think we’ll see a worse era than the SOD era! That 20/21 second half of the season was horrendous on the pitch, Watford and Reading games are up there with two of the worst performances I’ve ever seen from a City team
  8. You’re right that we’re in a better position now but we gave Pearson a chance throughout the 20/21 season (rightly so) even when that period is one of the worst periods I’ve seen since supporting City. Why doesn’t Manning deserve patience when he’s had 4 games and is trying to change an entire style of play?
  9. I was very pro Pearson and still think his sacking was harsh, but the reality is that decision has been and gone and we have to move on. I was happy with the Manning appointment and whilst we should’ve got atleast a point yesterday, I’ve seen positive changes in every game we’ve played under Manning (I’ve been to all 4) that I think will put us in good stead. Yes there’s clear areas to improve but give him a chance to do that
  10. Thought Weimann played well first half, actually heavily involved for the goal but he went back to crap second half. Agree completely around Sykes, one of our best players on the left Wednesday but no idea why he switched back to the left second half when we looked dangerous when he was down the right in the first half
  11. Early days I don’t blame you for thinking most of this. But the thing around players not buying into his style of play is rubbish, they already have and you can see the difference. You’re just sulking over Pearson still and not accepting that Manning needs the same patience as we have Pearson as a fanbase
  12. We didn’t have injuries in all of those games, before October international break we were ok. Leicester, difficult game we sat back though and couldn’t create anything of note Stoke, bigger collapse than yesterday people seem to have short memories as Pearson’s subs lost us the game but don’t remember any criticism for that. Rotherham, awful performance thankfully though Conway stepped up and Rotherham were even wordey Leeds, fair enough decent performance against a good side deservedly lost though Coventry, Ipswich and Cardiff fair enough we were threadbare and I did think to pull the trigger after Cardiff was incredibly harsh. But we move on which it seems most of the fanbase hasn’t hence why people have made their decision on Manning
  13. We’ve scored 4, not enough but is that on Manning? We’ve created enough chances but not been putting them in the back of the net. If I can like this more than once I would, reflects my exact thoughts. Results will come but I’ve seen enough in spells that we're becoming a much better side especially in possession. We do have a tendency to drop off in the second halves under Manning but that’s something to work on
  14. Completely agree with this, this fanbase’s love in with Nigel Pearson is getting ridiculous. He never said anything about the culture being bad but it’s not as perfect as people are making out to be, it can be improved and Manning suggesting it is nowhere near as bad as people are making out. As for the Johnson comparisons, lazy. Completely different manager with a different style that we’ve never seen at the Gate from one of our teams. Agree with this but surely it can go both ways? You can praise the job Pearson has done without bashing Manning for trying to improve and build off it. Seems a few people on here are doing just that
  15. I would, we dropped points in games we should’ve won. Again, as I mentioned no criticism of Pearson as such but mentality can still be a lot better. Yeah I agree wording can be better but if we can improve on it then I’m not going to complain
  16. Possibly taking some time off Twitter because he’s seen the recent reaction and is more determined than ever to deliver success? If it is purely to do with abuse then the prem comment isn’t going to help
  17. I agree the culture was great under Pearson but is it really bad that he’s suggesting it could be better? Whilst you had Naismith/King come out with interviews showing the mentality we have crumbled a lot in games and lost leads, which has carried over into this season under Pearson. This is no criticism to what Pearson has done but if Manning can improve it, who are we to complain?
  18. I think it’s probably that, the effort was there (always is with this group tbf) but getting into the final 3rd we seemed like we didn’t know what to do next. Do feel like last three games we have moved the ball quicker, I’d even say we did that a lot today but with very little end product
  19. Some boos after Pearson’s last game, Stoke aswell which was a bigger collapse!
  20. I agree it’s partly to do with injuries which is why I (and many people) thought it was harsh Pearson went. But thought majority of the performances since Plymouth were really poor, only exception possibly being Leeds
  21. All about opinions but I disagree, performances were getting worse before Pearson was sacked. Went to one of the best teams in the league on Wednesday and deserved a point, first half today we should’ve been two up and against Boro we played very well against one of the form teams in the league. Is still very early days but overall I can see the progress

    ENJOYMENT

Not allowed to post sensibly here mate, you know the rules!
  23. Agree Conway can come good but he needs competition, his attitude is clearly in the right place as he stayed behind at international duty to train to improve here. Whether that’s Wells coming back from injury or a new man, we need a main source of goals
  24. But wouldn’t you say that’s unfair on Manning when he’s had 4 games? We need to move on from Pearson, as much as I thought the decision was harsh performances were really poor for weeks and that’s even when we had the players
  25. Agree need someone on the left and up front for me. Bell been awful since he signed the new contract, Mehmeti I’m convinced there’s a player there but may need a loan to get his confidence up. We don’t seem to have a regular source of goals and Conway seems to be coasting with the fact he has no other competition
