Sadly we've all got "goons" within our support. I thought that FGR were a very good side, very quick going forward - your defence will be busy on Tuesday. Alternatively, they may still be nursing hangovers, and you'll get a result!
Good point and yes you're right all clubs have goons including ours. They say the table never lies even though we beat yourselves and FGR in consecutive away games but they are there for a reason so what they have achieved needs to be applauded just like the run the Gas have been on to get you in the play offs and with an outside chance of the Autos.
Have you peaked too early, can we win our next two home games to keep the 3500 Swindon fans interested for the last game of the season at Wallsall remains to be seen but now we have our top goalscorer back we have more than a good chance and like yourselves will need a little luck.

What you see on the video is the FGR supporters just want to celebrate at their end with their players and no need for the goons st the other end to come onto the pitch

Rochdale and Scunthorpe should be 6 points in fairness so the others will have to win and both Port Vale & Northampton have to play Exeter. It’s not quite in their hands but not far off it
When the pressure is on its a different ball game.

FGR will be on the beach hopefully.
I think we will get more than today's 9,600

lets not forget Cheltenham Town who constantly over achieve and barely get any credit.

As a Swindonian, did you often have cause to drive down the M32 on a Friday night then?
I was actually too young to drive myself but we had family in south west Bristol so was on the M32 a fair bit back in the day

Back in the days when the gas played at Eastville, a member of my father's staff, who was a staunch city supporter would never, as a matter of principle, use the M32.
I used to enjoy driving past when the speedway was on as the crowds were much bigger!

Your crowds have been impressive whereas Rovers were struggling to break 6000 until they won a few games in the past couple of months and then their attendances increased by a massive 50%, real fair-weather fans
They will go back into hibernation if they mess it up over the next few games! I'm still riled that they only gave us 700 tickets at their place

I agree. Swindon are too far away, but its a giant improvement on how they started the season. Suspect the Gastards will finish third, but League 1 will be a very tough ask for them
Hate to say it but our season looks over unless we can win our last 4 games so the 3500 going to Wallsall on the last day of the season will be going for a celebration that we still have a club rather than in hope of making the play offs.
Loan players being called back in January and losing our top goal scorer or several games has caught up with us but I'm sure we're be back stronger next season with more time to prepare a new squad. Even though the Gas have been on a great run and hats off to them they are still not guaranteed promotion and even if they achieve it I struggle to see how they can survive against the quality teams in league one. On the positive side our attenadces both home and away have been excellent and hopefully will continue next season

Another good goal

It's been boring up until now but a cracking goal which has woken up the Thames Valley Chelsea fans!

Is it because the Welsh have never seen a train before?
Looking at those Newport fans you could tell it was half term

All happy on train , 30 Cardiff and 100 Newport. Newport got off in Swindon then Cardiff threw cans and bottles at them Newport reacted and threw some back. Cardiff fans disgusted by this behaviour on their forum and wanted those who were identified to be outed.
CCTV on train will have footage and those who are identified could well be punished.

Not a case of another win and the Swindon fan is back on OTIB posting about Rovers?
Not at all I've been on here for nearly six years and regulary posted last season when we were relegated and nearly folded.

As a 60 something who witnessed the "glory days" of the late 60's, 70's and 80's I find it hilarious to see the same old, and I mean old, faces decked out for action...Burberry cap hiding hairless pate or ridiculous hair style making the most of what little they have, Stone Island XXL (or knock off) outerwear, tightly stretched Fred Perry, baggy jeans (alas, those skin tight Lois Jeans will not contain the spread of age) and Samba/Bamba trainers(not the best footwear for aged fallen arches). Victims of magical thinking, self-generated ever expanding legend( as witnessed on this very forum or overheard in the pub), low self-esteem and self-focused masking ego. Sad escapees from their own reality, fuelled by poor quality cocaine and booze. I'd feel sorry for them if they just stuck to dressing up and lying, but no, these little men have to demonstrate their dwindling prowess by disturbing the personal space of others with their mindless acts of vandalism, foul mouths, aggressive posturing and calculated acts of violence against victims who will not or cannot respond. Sad, irresponsible, selfish B'stards!
Great post and having been around from the mid-late 70's I can relate to everything you have described. Sadly all clubs seem to have them and we're no different and they seem to make themselves known more on the away days.
