I really feel for you Tone, stay strong mate.

So sorry to hear that Tone, it is very difficult to accept mate but I hope you have family & friends close to you to help you through a difficult time. My mum used to say "You just have to get on with life" which is so true but not easy is it. It makes us appreciate things more important than football. Our thoughts are with you mate

A great message there MR, I lost my mother this year & because of covid I was unable to make my trip back to the UK to say my goodbyes. Losing a loved one is awful at anytime but these circumstances made it so difficult to accept. I had my immediate family in Oz but calls from friends made a hell of a difference to me. It doesn't sound much to call someone but it does help so call your friends, please!!!

Adelaide had been case free for 6 months & hosted football with 20,000+ crowds then this week we have had to go into lockdown for 6 days (which everyone is expecting to be longer) as the virus has broken again. I was just reading that the UK has nearly 23,000 new cases with 500 deaths, crowds before xmas sounds suicidal to me. Stay safe everyone !!!

I used to do this often as a school kid as I didn't have the funds to go away games. My dad was a rovers fan & myself city but I always preferred city & obviously still do 60yrs on.

Agreed, Nans are very special, I've been married to one for 48yrs & I can't imagine what our 2 children, 5 grandchildren & myself would do without her. According to the Ozzie link, apparently because of the fact that both of the drugs that are being combined have been through the stringent tests before in other applications, it could reduce the testing times, lets hope so.
