  1. Beat me to it Cyril, his straight talking without all the BS we've endured in the past is what I like most.
  2. All part of the rebuild process, it's not going to be pretty but the signs are there.
  3. Hopefully he can be moved on, definitely not working for him or us with BCFC is it?
  4. Who's this Palmer you speak of VT?................................................................. but that's another story isn't it ?
  5. Makes me laugh................................................................................................ oops sorry, just the wind again.
  6. I agree & there is also the gifted skillful & extremely fit athletes in all sports that just can't be arsed to perform when it's needed. We see such skills wasted here in Ozzie rules football, exceptional skills but just can't be arsed. It must be very frustrating & upsetting for those, as you say with the fat gene & sadly there will always be those that don't fulfill their capabilities.
  7. Agreed, it's total commitment that's needed in today's game
  8. I'm thinking Tomlin is a good example of huge ability but not fitness, although I think attitude was his greatest downfall.
  9. So true mate & we all get upset about losing games, it really puts life into perspective doesn't it ?
  10. Now we are on to summer time & the UK is back onto winter time the game times are mainly either very late night (11:30pm +) or approx 6am, depending on which state you live in the clocks vary. I used to have my mobile along side the bed with the alerts on but I began to either lose too much sleep or have nightmares ?. I now gingerly turn on the phone & follow the progress of the game, I just can't help myself, as I said once hooked that's it forever. Nice to hear from you Sleepy
  11. I gave up going to games in 1970 when I came to OZ, I've seen a few games on visits to the UK but just cannot get BCFC out of my system, once you're hooked that's it. I used to get very nervous when we play the lowly teams that are fighting for existence in the league because our record against them has been dire to say the least. NOW I just get get nervous before EVERY game for the same reasons, but hey............................................... nothing lasts forever. It will get better, C'mon City.
  12. I wouldn't call it banging on Harry, you're simply pointing out the basics of how the club should be run. I would have thought that NP could have addressed this issue by now but perhaps its not in his job description. Our CEO now seems a a very astute & capable person, surely he should be putting things in place to remedy this huge failure of the club. Sounds to me we need a "Harry" on the job
  13. Obviously some of the errors NP spoke about, very frustrating.
  14. I always enjoy reading your rational posts Fevs, thankyou for keeping a level head before posting. It's a shame that many others can't accept the old saying that "Rome Wasn't Built in a Day". It's old hat but so very very true & imo NP just has to be given the time & backing to succeed, then if he fails the inevitable will have to take place.
  15. I also preferred LJ, for all his downsides he loved this club, whereas MA only loved himself & his pocket. A wretched person in my view.
  16. I almost saw a famous person once
  17. I also attended a fancy dress in my youth club & got 1st prize for the "ET" look alike, then some smart arse realised I wasn't in fancy dress, ? my childhood was understandably quite stressful.
  18. I recently posted that I'm 74yrs & have supported City since I was 8yrs. To cut a long story short, I asked myself if there is better things to do with what time I have left. I have found that watching my grandsons play Aussie Rules & my grand-daughter play netball gives me all the enjoyment I used to get from watching City. A win is obviously great but seeing them giving there all with their mates beats even a win, they are playing because they want to, not because they are paid to. So why do I still support City?, as I said earlier it's in my blood & it's impossible to forget them but it's my grandkids that give me hours of true enjoyment.
  19. When I saw the title I thought "Her Indoors" had been gossiping again....................Phew !!!
  20. A tough one Dave, I still think he needs time to completely rebuild this team but that time could very likely see us go down. I can't see anyone turn the tide with this team & the financial restraints in place. Strap yourself in mate.
