Woods has been a Whiskey bar since the day it opened. Not been there for years so don't know if they've changed it in other ways.
Sounds like it’s got more pretentious since I was last there!

Depends what you're after really. We're in our early 30's and Stokes Croft tends to be our typical thing these days.
I guess the priority is a good vibe. No idiots and a crowd of age 30’s and upwards.
Good rum is a bonus.
Music - Nothing too heavy but somewhere to throw shapes!
last time I was out we ended up in The Woods which was pretty good although that seems to be a whiskey bar now?
thanks for the help

This was a hugely unappreciated gag. Hats off to you.

Recommendations for a small group in their 30’s would be gratefully received for your average Saturday night antics

Lots of positions up for grabs. I was looking forward to seeing a midfield 3 of Knight, James and Scott until Bournemouth ruined it

You'd also have to have bristol rugby as well
I’ve always thought that why we’ve left it blank. I think it’s a bit soulless on the outside and that would finish it off perfectly. I support the bears but part of me is a little annoyed that a part of our home of many years has been decorated in tribute to them - not sure if that makes sense or if anyone feels the same

I also do recall a comment by SL in April though, sticks in the mind in his pre game interview before Burnley.
"What football makes, football can spend".
If we do make £25m and it's pure profit remember, could we put £10-15m back in.
Not on fees as such but amortisation, fees, loan fees etc. Clearly increase or decrease a bit subject to final fee, either in percentage or absolute terms.
Maybe we can finally get some sort of club crest on the exterior of the Lansdown stand….unless Jon says he wants to pick the design

We went public with £25m being the minimum price so to accept anything less now would not look good. I guess we will see now if anyone else moves for him and what sort of price they are prepared to go to. This could be bubbling for some time and with our purchases done you’d imagine we can afford to sit and wait unless someone reaches our price.
Our purchases aren’t done because we have to go straight back into the market for a CM if we’re going to let Scott go

I've never ever joked about MND you are correct, if you'd been through what I have with a very close family member I doubt you would either
That’s not what I said. You will have laughed about something that would offend someone else. I made a joke about the name not MND

No I haven’t! And when you lost someone you know through MND you wouldn’t! To see them in their motionless state in front of you and them not being able to comeback to you when you’re chatting to them, I just hope you never have to go through something like that.
I was actually making a joke about the name, not MND. From what you are saying that would have to mean you have never laughed at someone’s stand up comedy (Rick Gervais for example) which I find hard to believe. People just pick what they want to be offended about these days based on what is personal to them.

I'd suggest you delete this, deffo not something to joke about
So you’ve never made/laughed at something that might of had the ability to offend somebody? Of course you have. It’s just humour. You don’t find it funny but you probably laugh at other things that others wouldn’t find funny.

You don't think so.?
I certainly did & the majority of people I spoke to at the time did aswell.
We were utterly dire.!
I respect your opinion but looking at the bigger picture he’s exactly what we need.
Culture, fitness issues, coaching issues, deadwood, high earners, poor recruitment - he’s knows his onions and he’s got us to a much better place. He managed expectations from the get go aswell which was a reality check some needed.
Improvement is a requirement this season but I have every confidence. I’d be happy if we can go into the final month with a glimmer of playoff hope, I don’t expect us to make it, I’d take 10th with good football.

It doesn't help that the game was on Sky and that they are Blackpool. Probably one of our lowest Saturday attendances of the season.
In fairness, where are the thousands of new members we gained the other week?

Hummel were decent. If we really need to go elsewhere then Joma would be the place. Oneills looks absolutely tinpot - disappointing if true

Wiemann can play a lot of positions. I have to say January was a very impressive window. This squad is now competitive, on roughly equal pay, with good depth. I think Pearson has done a terrific job with trading. In the summer I’d expect to see the last of the high earners released (Kalas, Dasilva) and replaced and another CM added. Not a huge shopping list at all. We’d also need to replace any sales but I don’t see anyone leaving, Scott included.

I don’t think Sykes was preferred as such. Wilson took a knock before his current injury so Sykes got the nod and then didn’t really do much wrong so kept his place

At the risk of sounding cynical she got back with him soon after probably because she didn’t want to give up the lifestyle she had and as such hasn’t supported a prosecution meaning he gets away with it. Let’s just hope he’s learnt from it.

Well done NP. That’s nearly all the deadwood gone now. JD and likely Kalas out in the summer and that’s some huge savings. Should have a highly competitive squad next season

Should have been double figures without add ons

It's only harsh if I'm wrong! At least wait for the interview then tell me I'm wrong.
Pretty much anyone can predict anything that any player or CEO etc will say. They get PR training from in house PR staff who are employed for that reason. You’re not mystic Meg

There’s a huge difference imo. The UK joined a war against terror.
The conflict in Ukraine is hardly the same, it carries no justification what so ever and Russia are committing horrific war crimes. Most of the world condemns this hence peoples reluctance to involve themselves with Russia
