Surely all clubs have insurance polices in place when it comes to, and I don't mean to minimise him but he is an asset to a company, "goods on transit" when it comes to player transfers?? ... Is this not a matter for the insurance companies to determine and not the clubs or have we gone well beyond that?

Probably somewhere on this forum, somebody has a list of player contract expiry dates. When does his current deal expire?
Hard to make a judgment on a player who has such severe injuries and never plays.
As @SecretSamsays above. The damage down the line could be a lot worse. Cheesley was before by time but for the younger group, he retired at 23 due to a severe injury. I know technology, medical care, rehab etc has advanced a lot, but sometimes the body just doesn't / can't work. Ayman is not far off that age.

Car insurance is a racketeering con.
All in league with one another and because it's a statutory cover, they can all hike across the board and claim it's "the market".
As @nebristolredsays re the job. They were built in to systems many years ago. If you do any form of admin work, just put administration / administrator.

I remember being mesmerised by spending £1.2 million on Akinbiyi and £1 million on Thorpe under Ward in the late 90s. Lot of money back then but Goater replacement was desperately needed. So was a Shaun Taylor replacement considering his injury but every CB we signed that year was awful.

I may be wrong but wasn't Carey to busy arguing with the ref about the free kick and then they scored from it?
Yep. I was there at Wembley and I thought in that split second he should be watching the game and not running over and arguing with the ref. Low and behold, quick free kick, cross, goal.
Cavanagh and Thorne were quality at league 1 level.

Belter and I'm all for it. Old but gold.

He said he's one of the quickest players he's seen
And that he couldnt keep up
I showed him the Southampton goal where he pelted by the defenders when the keeper went up for a corner. As pacey players go in my city supporting lifetime, very few would have been faster than he.
Anyway, back on Trundle, loved watching him play, even at Swansea with all the tricks, flicks etc. Just something different back in the day. Delighted when we signed him. One would assume he spent most of his career in lower leagues (league 1 and below) bar his time with us? Even when he went on loan to Leeds, they were division below us at the time.

My colleague came in to work this morning and told me he'd listened to this. He asked me about Ivan sproule so I'm guessing he got a mention somewhere.
Great era for City around this time.

There's a name that rarely crops up. He wasn't particularly good was he? IIRC his nickname was "Chicken" (not sure why)
I thought he was a decent player, for both us and Swindon. Just very injury prone. But maybe that's just my nostalgia showing. He would have played for us in what is now league 1.

Off the back of wiemann,s comments about triggering a contract clause with us I would say your source is bang on.
I imagine there's lots of small print in deals, both with players directly and transfers with other clubs.
Famous one of course was when we signed Robin Hulbert from Swindon. Good player that never played for them after a while, turns out there was an agreement in place where Swindon would pay Everton every number of games and 1 more would blow their budget so eventually they sold to us on the cheap.
Not saying every agreement has it but unless we have the contract in front of us, we won't know for certain.

Install early 90s Real Madrid mode.
The opposition can score 3, as long as we score 4. We have the attacking talent. Let them off the leash. Go out there with the mindset to outscore the opposition as opposed to not wanting to concede.

Looked well off the pace , I know Luke shaw was injured aswell but chillwell should have been nowhere near that team tonight how long he has been out surely there is another left footed left back in the prem somewhere, I would have given that Luton fullback ( Doughty think his name ) a go , but hang on he doesn’t play for one of the big teams
I've been a fan of Rico Henry since his Walsall days. Still in his mid 20s. Plays regular for Brentford. Southgate very much sticking to his favourites though, as he does with all the positions.

Yeah ask those on X that have EU, Ukraine, Palestine and Ireland flags all on their handles, the absolute weapons.
Click in her profile, she has 3 flags in her bio. Hard to see who the parody accounts are nowadays

Forget the whole flag outrage.
That purple kit is the most beautiful England football kit I think I’ve ever seen. Part of me wants to buy one. Then I remember the price and the fact that I’m 43. But it very nearly had me.
It is a belter but the side parts ruin it. Shame it ain't the same colour all the way around.
That Narinder Kaur skank is on Jeremy vine at the min saying how it's solely a flag of bigotry, fascism and racism and nothing else. Obviously it's one person's opinion and probably just saying it to get people to call in but you never know.
She's subsequently said that nobody is proud of this flag. Well I'm someone with not too distant Caribbean ancestry and dating an Indian lady. I'm proud of it, come throw the race card at me.

If they have it hasn’t been reported.
Woke gone mad, either that or the design was decided over a liquid lunch.
That's the thing. Nike wouldn't just do it (ba dum tss) , it would have needed sign off from the FA. Whether the FA went to Nike with the idea, or vise versa, it takes 2 to tango.

Yeah flashed up on my facebook memories this morning. A great day. A great team.

I see on BBC a news that Starmer is urging Nike to reconsider
England kit: Keir Starmer urges change over St George's Cross design https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-68632034
Has Southgate or someone from the FA spoke about it yet?

That's the badger. Wasn't that account I saw it from but it's the same pic.
As Germany have announced a deal with Nike, I did see someone do an obvious "playful update" harking back to Germany's history. Think you don't need me to post it on here to know what it is

Was going to post something similar earlier. Say SL sells to a Vincent Tan equivalent and he does to us what tan did to Cardiff by putting blue seats in Ashton Gate and changing the kit to the blue and white quarters.
The important question to ask is why they felt the need to do it and who is the target audience for it. Just some nonsense buzzwords on a tweet means nothing.

Are there any versions out there with a picture of career criminal George Floyd replacing the 3 Lions?
You know, just playfully, like! Not that I've seen, although I've seen people say replace the lions with other animals, elephants & unicorns as examples.
Someone has also put the star of David on the Palestine flag, that might put the cat amongst the pigeons. After all, it's just a playful update of a flag. What's the problem?
