  1. Are poundland making an offer for the mem site?
  2. If that was a penalty for Sunderland how many should we have had?
  3. FA now saying that there should be a more severe punishment to protect officials. Surely this will only work if the FA don't pick and choose who they punish!
  4. Thanks, it was more hypothetical. It would be interesting to see how their parachute payment could be "neutralised"? Otherwise this payment could just be used to keep some of their signings and make any points deductions meaningless. As you can tell I'm wittering and know even less than you!
  5. If Forest come back down could they be placed under a transfer embargo and definitely no loans?
  6. Peter Walton, ex ref and tv pundit talking about this on bbc website. He drew attention to this in his newspaper column and said that the FA missed a big chance when they didn't ban Fernandes. But hey, there are big teams and the not so big teams!
  7. Letter of apology to Fernandes from the linesman! ?
  8. Back this morning on greatest hits radio! Pop master on at 10.30 to compete with radio 2.
  9. Radio 5L yesterday thought that Rogers would be a good fit for Spurs!
  10. Were none of the other substitutes worth bringing on?
  11. Hand ball? ? Was it yellow cardable or just to even it up?
  12. And depending on how important he wants to look!
  13. There's probably not a law that says the ref should be consistent in his administration of the laws!
  14. Perhaps it ought to be to prevent the advantage of a free kick being lost.
  15. I must have watched this at the Classic cinema on Staplegrove road in Taunton. Back in the day we still had two cinemas in the centre of town! God that was a long time ago! ?
  16. I was going to place a bet that @ralphindevon would be one of the first on this thread!
  17. Perhaps the ref could move the kick 10 yards forward if the offending team insist on standing over the ball.
  18. And if they do use their "powers" then use them consistantly to both teams. I used to think that the other team could get away with anything before the ref had booked one of our players and that would be after a first offence!
  19. I've heard we want some "harder" players but physioterrorist? ?
  20. Thinking at halftime against Derby and Sunderland that we had won those matches!
  21. Bit like the player who pushed the referee is charged with violent conduct but Fernandes who pushes the lineman gets nothing. Both incidents on television.
  22. Even without VAR and with the normal television coverage it should be obvious. How do fans see in real time what is apparently beyond the scope of referees and linesmen?
  23. They don't seem to take "mitigating factors" into account like in rugby. Yes, retaliation is frowned upon but surely in these cases they must be able to see what leads up to the offence?
