It amused me when their manager's main complaint was that we wasted a bit of time in the first half. He's obviously completely oblivious to all the "crunching" tackles and sh*thouseary his players inflict on their opponents!
Many of our players aren't great at passing the ball but more frustrating sometimes is when we get so far up the pitch on the wings then go inside where all the defensive traffic is and lose the ball straight away.
You have the situation when a linesman can put up his flag when a player is in an offside position but sometimes only reacts if a "goal" is scored. So blatant fouls are disregarded because in hindsight they happened after a player was deemed to be in an offside position. I think that this gives the defenders a free hit to get away with murder if they anticipate the offside.
Forest penalty turned down by VAR after ball hits Maguire's arm. Should we be surprised, would it have been a penalty at the other end? Maguire already on a yellow, presumably a penalty would have given him a second yellow card.
What do I know?
Just looking at our results since boxing day and out of 23 matches we've only lost 5, 1 to Manchester City and 4 in the league from the beginning of March so overall pretty good progress. More draws could have been wins (with or without the officials).
Apparently the VAR official for this match who neglected to tell the match ref that he should have awarded a penalty to Brighton has been penalised and will not be officiating this weekend. Meanwhile Stuart Attwell who failed to award the penalty carries on! What responsibility do match officials have now?
