IIRC, wasn't it on a hill? With a terrace down one side???
Don't remember the hill but remember standing on the terrace on one side and getting absolutely drenched (and losing) That was a long, wet coach ride home

Also Rushden and Diamonds - sponsored by a boot company with an owl on each corner IIRC - whatever happened to them?
Always forget going to Rushden. My only memories are parking on a grass verge in the country and Lee Miller scoring an equaliser?

Isn't it true that the only 'non league' team to beat City in the FA Cup is Spurs unlike a near neighbour who seem to manage it every four or five years?

Yes but they won something a trophy unlike us.
Yes they did but compare that with our history. While we were founder members of Div2,runner up in Div1,FA cup finalists, for many years us and Arsenal only league teams south of Birmingham. Not to mention Welsh cup winners,Anglo Scottish cup winners, most successful EFL trophy team. Ok the last few aren't major trophies but if the gas can still go on about the Watney Cup..... Meanwhile Oxford Utd were Headington Utd until 1960 and weren't a league team until '62.

It's a crap appointment. All week OTIB has gone in to meltdown about NP and rightly so. Then just a few days later City fans are lapping it up that we've landed Manning as the replacement for NP. It's embarrassing.
I'm not lapping it up, underwhelmed more like

Scott Parker or Jokanovic would be interesting. Deffo no Curtis as others have said based on the pre match interview, what a guy
Loved Parker as a player,as a manager,not so much.

Anyone volunteering to stand outside the ground from 10-30 to see if Frank turns up? I would do but it's going to be raining

A bit of a left field suggestion but I wouldn't mind a gamble on Robbie Fowler,a far more thoughtful character than he's given credit for.

So it's present players, former players, most staff and almost all supporters versus Steve and Jon,it's lonely at the top (especially when you're wrong) .

Aw bless.
Just one reason then, why this is a bad footballing decision?
Is it the scintillating football?
The results?
The style of play?
The yes men, old crocks?
Everyone, and I mean everyone, who sat around me, didn't like pearson's football.
You?
Would they be the same idiot supporters who shout 'get rid of it' at every opportunity?

I’d love them to get Nige on, I’d love for him to give his take on the Lansdown’s and the way the clubs being run.
I'd love him to as well but he has far too much class, unlike some

Which is why they should also be given the best possible opportunity to prepare correctly.

Shout out for TGH too,we know he's not a right back but he was very tidy today in his proper position

I thought Pring and Sykes were poor first half and excellent in the second! TGH I thought had a very good game, tidying up and keeping things simple.

Brian Parkin was the Gas keeper who suffered terribly when the back pass rule came in-he was the inspiration for the 'could'nt trap a bag of cement' quote
