What is it with posters such as yourself that call him Nige? you make him sound like a personal friend of yours, he is a 50 odd year old man in charge of a football team in the championship his name is Nigel Pearson, shorten it to NP by all means but Nige, come on.

If that was somebody that is a Pearson fan commenting on the game I would hate to think what your comments would have been had you not been, look he has had a lot of problems with who he has been able to select for what ever reason or another, personally today I saw in the first half at least what looked like a team that had no game plan or any idea what they were doing, I admit the second half was an improvement, shame they left themselves too much to do and probably should have got something from the game but as too many times this season we didn't.

You made a lot of relevant points which I'm afraid significant amounts of the posters on here refuse to accept, we all want NP to succeed and he has been given a lot of latitude owing to the mess he inherited, but, and it's a big but, since he has taken over we have discovered 3 or 4 so say multi million players bound for much higher things yet we still today managed to make at times a team that were below us in the table look like well if not Barcelona at least one of the better sides in our division which according to their record they are not, It's a brave poster who puts his head above the parapet on here and criticises NP and for that I commend you.

Thought the same today, if our some say players of the future and we all know who they are supposed to be ( and if they are that good why are we in the position we are in ) leave in the summer I fear for next season, NP who I have to say has disappointed me so far has a lot to do, season tickets will be a hard sell for next season I have seen 11 games at home call me unlucky if you like but have witnessed only 2 wins in the last year yes that's right 2, I could go on but you get my drift.

And now to top it all off the Chinese tv broadcaster will refuse to show any premier league games this week due to any support being shown towards the Ukrainian people and country at our grounds this weekend, and why am I not at all surprised by this.

Don't know about you but even given the problems he has had to face I would still have expected a bit more from him, we have had some very unwelcome stats during his tenure. I think we have (well most) of us given him the benefit of the doubt up till now, will be interesting to see what pans out during the summer as I am expecting a fair few changes to playing personnel then we can judge him more fairly the excuses can only last for so long a lot of clubs have had the same problems I look at Luton and how they have fared and think why not us?

I must admit I find the idea that we should rest players in their 20s because some of them have played twice a week recently slightly bonkers, my god I worked as a steel fabricator into my 60s sometimes working nearly 60 hours a week if we were busy, you will pardon me if I haven't much sympathy for this suggestion.

What exactly will happen if teams refuse to play Russia? will they get given the points? because if they are and Qualify because of it I can see a mass boycott of the world cup, there is no way on earth even FIFA would risk that, as far as I would bet it would be on Russia being excluded from this and any future tournaments inc the Euros.

Shame for any team to lose a game like that, but yes it was a howler, bet if he had the power of hindsight he would have rather not come on, he could have been a hero but unfortunately it went the other way for him.
