They certainly got Paul Randall and Barry Hayles from the non-league who both did very well, but I think the gap may be a lot bigger nowadays.
And Nigel Martyn, from St Blazey, after being spotted by the club's tea lady while she was on holiday.

Well I was brought up in Fishponds, now live in Hanham, have also lived in Eastville, Kingswood and very briefly Warmley. So I nearly have the full set! Maybe it just depends where I'm living
Edit: I also lived in Lawrence Weston 30 odd years ago which- at the time- I would have said was more Rovers than City! Mind you when I lived in Redfield and St George it was more of a 50/50 split.
can you confirm that the Rovers 50 in the above is actually in thousands, like the Wembley attendance?, therefore more than our portion.

Is it finally beginning to dawn on them?
The thing with our debt figures is I just can’t understand where it’s all coming from. We’re only spending a certain amount given restrictions on wages. Our budget for transfers is modest at best. Where is all the rest of the money going?
Other than on a London office which shouldn’t be too much.- 2

It pleases me that I know they're not all like these clowns.
I've got some real great mates who are passionate followers of the Rovers, and all credit to them for picking a local side (obviously the wrong one mind)
Today I was told that one of these mates lost his battle to cancer, so for the next week my FB profile picture is of my mate, wearing his comedy jesters outfit at a works do last year.
Football has no colours in these circumstances.

this can't be right, I expected all 12 to be everyone's (in their deluded minds) favourite team

All over for the slags this season (and maybe, hopefully longer)
BREAKING: The EFL are set to inform League One and League Two clubs next week that there is NO CHANCE of the season being completed. Clubs will have to vote on how the final positions in the table will be decided.
A mate of mine from work told me this yesterday, his lad plays for Bolton and reckons they were told the season would not be completed.
He still thinks the points deduction might be carried over to the next season, but he's more confident of avoiding the drop as they won't be relying on 15 year old kids to play the matches.
