If the reason for cutting back on funding now is because SL believes there's a reasonable chance of selling up during this season, do we really think work will actually begin on the Arena? I think that decision would be delayed and let any prospective new owners decide if they want to go ahead with the plans as they are.
Diggers ain't in yet ,selling with planning is highly desirable.

Yeh let's just stay in the championship cause its nice and cosy .
-
Max a mid average championship keeper still learning his trade ,Bentley top half championship keeper who got a great move to the prem ,at the moment Bents is a better keeper.

A bit like us when we pretended we were buying Dwight Gayle no way we could afford his wages all done to wip up excitement

What's this got to do with Lansdown ? this is NPs team, his players, his tactics yet he keeps on getting off relatively scot free after every poor performance (of which there has been so, so many during his tenure)
Um lansdown runs the club final say on finances, shop in lower leagues 90% of the time that's their level,Pearson have been told to shop there he working with what he's allowed ,tryers with little or no quality if we stay up lansdowns happy ,Pearson takes the flak for a bottom half finish, next manager inherits the same problem. Selling our young talent also steadys the ship for lansdown to sell up.

Were you at the game? Were we that bad? It didn't sound that way on the audio commentary - just to be clear I'm genuinely asking not saying you wrong, just all I have to go on is the Audio and a very short highlight video.
Either way I think it's a tad early to say our season needs saving after four league games.
Yes I was ,we are weak after nearly 50 yrs of watching I'm waning like lansdown. He's not supporting Pearson who obviously running down his contract and who can blame him he ain't getting another, a struggle ahead I'm afraid.

Bringing no one in shows Lansdown interest in city as waned ,team in dire need help ,millions banked can't tell me we can't do it wage cap he's set will see us relegated, we bring in players from league 1 with high work rate yes but low quality for the championship & hope our academy will bring up gem ,already we are hoping a 17 Yr old kid will save our season.

New investment brings ££££ go for it ,sitting waiting won't happen ,selling all our top talent every year continues who's next .lansdown wants out that why he's steadying the ship roll on the next era .

We all know that the next mistake he makes there will be calls for a keeper upgrade. So I think it’s always worth pointing out those games where Max wins us points. Probably our second best player on Friday night. All keepers at this level will have weaknesses and make errors. If they didn’t they wouldn’t be playing at this level. Max has had a good start to the season in my opinion.
Apart from the cross when he flapped and didn't have a clue where the ball was he ain't the best that for sure .

Why would anyone want to blow the last 2/3 years of steady financial re alignment to just blow it all again. FFP and parachute payments are all stacked against us. We have to continue building slowly and hope we get lucky with building a squad organically that is good enough to compete around the play offs for a couple of years and then hope we get to a play off final and actually win it.
How so boring won't happen ,when lansdown goes I bloody hope we go for it life's so short.

Decent point two average championship teams ,mid table for both plenty of effort & commitment lack of quality from both.

Can someone sensibly explain why we would need to increase the capacity of our ground when (a) we hardly ever sell out and (b) if we did reach the promised land, match day attendances are incidental to other monies incoming
4 minutes ago, Mr Popodopolous said:Future proofing. The demand would be major if we ever went up IMO.
Point b PL matchday revenue with profile etc can increase sharply both POTD and wider use of facilities.
I'm not saying I like this especially, some of the ticket prices are a joke as it is but it is sadly the way of it in 2023.
So why are Liverpool, Chelsea spurs arsenal Everton all expanding or new doing it if revenue from the prem far exceeds gate revenue. CITY in the prem would sell out every week .

Poor again at home, possession football don't suit us ,teams at ashton gate will take us off .
-
We just got to get ready to accept that every academy player who comes good will be sold if the price is right, did we keep scott into the season to sell a few thousand extra tickets .Premiership is a dream with a one off unbelievable season like Luton did,Pearson or any other manager we get got there hands tied.
