  1. Exactly that for me. Totally understand why some don't see what the fuss is all about but if you were around then, the rivalry was practically bred into you.
  2. You would think by appointing Roy Hodgson, the FA would at least be sympathetic to the sanctuary visit.
  3. Looks like a scene from The Walking Dead.
  4. Fair play, they nicked it, as you knew they would. Still, next season is a different story all together. I'm happy with the thought that they seek and celebrate to be in a league we desperately want to avoid.
  5. F me, the Post absolutely love him don't they. What a total non story that is.
  6. World class stadium eh? So what does that actually mean? You need something like 35-40k capacity to host a Europa League final, almost certainly double that for a Champions League final and the same again for International Tournament finals. Have a look at the technical requirements from FIFA to reach what you would call "world class". We are talking Wembley, Nou Camp, Allianz Area etc etc. Ah but hold on, they have a guy who helped balls up make Wembley, so that's where it must come from.
  7. Get in there SL. The Landsdown Harriers would need a state of the art athletics venue. Welcome to Bristol Sport.
  8. A chance to improve our goal difference today. Got to push for 4 or more.
  9. Not a word you want to be associated with a legal case. Particularly if your looking for the courts to side in your favour. Tight as an otters pocket my arse.
  10. That IMO is as close to a realistic plan B they are going to get.
  11. Ironically, Sainsbury's have quite a decent presence in Gas heartland. They'll all be going to Asda Longwell Green now then. Asda for kit sponsors next year anyone?
  12. Sounded like a good all round solid performance today. Well done lads.
  13. Great show of faith from LJ there, even though his hand was forced somewhat. Let's hope he grabs the opportunity and runs with it.
  14. The Gas I know are always harping on about being a traditional club with no aspiration to "sell out". I suppose that instantly falls to the wayside once the possibility of a large investment comes along. The reality is, if you want higher level football in a shiny new stadium, your going to need that investment.
  15. It had to be seen. They could of at least gone with Piggs not Higgs though.
  16. http://www.bathchronicle.co.uk/Bristol-Rovers-Football-Club-embarrassing-tweet/story-27551752-detail/story.html
  17. That was just the opinion of the Sainsbury's lawyer - he would say that wouldn't he.
  18. High stakes game they are playing. No payout, no stadium = no future. I say this as objectively as I can, their chairman is full of shit. Not for the first time Rover's supporters have been lead a merry dance with regards to a stadium and finances is it?
  19. Someone should of asked "what will the financial state of the club be if the appeal is lost?". Last roll of the dice i reckon, they are going for broke.
  20. Oh its a war memorial again now! Not sure people/businesses invest in war memorials - not a lot of commercial return there. Certainly not our own SL. So much wrong in that post.....can't be arsed to pick the rest of it apart. Deluded once again and still no idea whatsoever on how a business runs.
  21. If we had stalled on the Williams demolition I reckon we could of found a buyer for it in the North Bristol area. Better than a tent surely?
  22. Still there.... https://twitter.com/GeoffDunford/status/619777654892425216 I see Red Trousers calls it a "tragic decision"
  23. That is a catastrophic result for them. How could they afford an appeal? The longer they keep believing this....."Bristol Rovers is a fantastic football club, with a proud tradition and a fan-base envied by dozens of clubs higher up the football league, and which deserves a home that is fit-for-purpose.".......the more they will continue to struggle.
