Does it not worry you that there was no news of any investment yet talks continue with the UWE? Something not quite right there. I suspect a funding deal will be setup between UWE and a 3rd party with Rovers renting the stadium. I dont think it will ever be 'Rovers Stadium'.

Barnsley is a good shout, i still think hes a useful addition to a squad at Champ level but perhaps he will need to drop down to get regular starts.

It would be a move of convenience if he did stay local. I would think he would have better offers from that league. Gills and Charlton rumoured to be in for him as well i believe. The man is well liked at Charlton as he was here. I can see him heading east rather than over the river.

You forgot the relegation to non-league btw. What has that got to do with passion? You can have a good manager and still admit hes a bit of an arse. For the record, Steve Cotterill gave us one of the best seasons in living memory for most and had passion but i didn't like his perceived personality one bit and I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that.

Absolutely, he's done a fine job and consolidation in L1 would be no bad thing. What equates to you as better than Leeds (in their current state) realistically? Could you see him going to a L1 rival? Can't imagine there will be many offers from the Championship coming in with all fairness to him. I would be very surprised if he doesn't go.

Absolutely - huge club. Like you say, getting sacked by that madman is not likely to damage your reputation. I genuinely think he's about to plateau with the Gas, he should cash his stock in now.

Indeed, if offered the job, its a tough decision to make. A club of that ilk minus the owner would be a no brainer.

Aye, a replacement for Clarke. So you reckon the cheap internal appointment option? Agree he would be mad to take it, but also mad not to, bar an idiot of an owner they are a huge club and someone will turn them around at some point - if they can stay in the job more than a few months!

If he gets it, all we will hear from the blue few is how they are "prowed" of him and not in any way gutted that he bailed at the first opportunity. Not too may viable replacements around right now.
