  1. What's with the American English? Dustbin i'll have you know!
  2. Thats ok Pete, we can just put up some scaffold and tarp that bit across, add a few white plastic patio chairs, voila, you have a top stadium!
  3. And they seem perfectly happy to swallow it as well. Carry on you deluded idiots.
  4. What market? Here's a list of famous Jordanian footballers.... Great list isn't it? I'm all for development but show me a Jordanian international that doesn't play for a team called Al-something or other. If there was even 1% of talent out there it would of reached European football by now. Even with investment now it could take decades before it bares any fruit.
  5. The thing for me is intent. Back to back promotions, wealthy owner and all they have to show for it so far is 1 new tent and a 6 month loan signing. Its pathetic. You don't need to go nuts but where is the intent? Their record signing is only 300 odd k. Show some ambition.
  6. I knew i recognised the name. "City Reject" it is then.
  7. If you think the 'Gap' is based only on what division we are playing in, you are as deluded as the rest of your lot. There would still be a 'Gap' between the 2 sides even if we were in the same division. Anyway, i feel 'Gulf' is more appropriate these days. Once your established in the league above, filled your team with genuine quality and provided top facilities for fans and players like, please come back and tell us wont you.
  8. The Pripyat Memorial Stadium Badlands. Like it.
  9. It's clearly a big game for them and they were looking to sell out. Surely it should be an "All Tent" match and not all ticket.
  10. Your own forum could do with a few more posts like this. Grounded but with just the right amount of bitterness. Well done.
  11. So Mr Higgs, you went for the full gender reassignment treatment with your pay out from Wally?
  12. With the marquees now in place, all they need is to get a couple of steam tractors, a motorcycle display team, perhaps someone parachuting in and the fete can begin.
  13. I'd hold my head in shame walking in or out of there even if i was one of the blue few, it really is an embarrassing dump.
  14. Certainly got more than your moneys worth from the current bunch. Taylor got you a shed load of goals but as much as I am obliged to despise the man, DC is clearly the biggest asset you have right now.
  15. I'd agree that until you get your ground situation sorted, some consolidation in L1 would probably be the best thing for you right now. The cheque book has got to come out at some point though.
  16. Afraid to say that at Championship level and above, the harsh reality is that these days you have little choice but to invest large sums just to compete. Not suggesting your owner starts going nuts in L1 but if he has the money it's claimed he does, why isn't there any sign of at least some proportional spending for that level, e.g anything above your current transfer record?
  17. Undisclosed fee, local journo reports it as less than we pay for Maynard. Off they go quoting £3m as that suits there piss taking agenda more. Jealous much?
  18. There may not be a literal gap in the divisions at the moment but both sides are still miles apart. Our new stadium finished - there's not started (car park aside!), investing in some new tarp and temp seating at the Mem. We sign on our "star player" after a successful loan spell - there's is about to walk away for nothing. There is a gulf forming between Champ and L1 level, if you are not prepared to pay millions of pounds on players, invest even bigger sums on your stadium and infrastructure, your likely to suffer. You don't get a huge pot of money once you reach the league but you need one to survive and compete in it. I'm struggling to see anything other than lower league football for them for the foreseeable future. This summer was the chance for their owner to put his money where his mouth is, total no show so far.
  19. You could well be right. With so much progress on the new stadium and current developments at the Mem, it's hard to keep track of it all.
  20. It already is. They broke ground on the car park several weeks ago. Not long now.......
  21. Those new owners are certainly splashing the cash about eh.
  22. Already planting the seeds of disappointment. Next thing will be its not viable to get investment for the new stadium given the current economic climate.
  23. Also used to be a top rave night at Papillions in the early 90s. X-Static.
  24. No wonder they have started building another.
