  1. And me!!! I'll have a pint of whatever you're on. ?
  2. No, but there are a few that we have who are trying hard to get us there! ?
  3. 43,335 (Bristol City FC vs Preston North End F.C., 16 February 1935)
  4. Are you saying that this is a positive from Mark Ashton???? ???
  5. Commentator just said Swindon was the first place in England to have a lending library! Edit: Appydaze beat me to it. Although it took me a while to find the quote!?
  6. Two goalkeepers who played at the top level, Ray Cashley and Mike Hooper.
  7. Here, hang on!!! Ian Gay is an expert........isn't he? ?
  8. So was I. But just in case you forgot, it was you that made the original statement, which I have challenged. As you are unable to answer any of my points, I find it a bit rich that you then want me to go away. Great debate!!!
  9. So no answer to that then just bullshit! Next for your IQ, what would you have done in the Famara situation? Pay him more money that we don't have? Let him run his contract down? Sell him?
  10. Next for your IQ, how do you retain our best players who want to leave?
  11. OK Einstein, what about all the others that have been rewarded for being relegated? You haven't answered my question as to where we get money to compete with parachute payments. You say that I have no idea, so let's hear yours.
  12. By competing I am talking about finance. Please explain to me where you suggest we achieve the income to compete with the 20 million that Bournmouth received from being relegated.
  13. Can't agree that we have squandered talent. Selling players for, in most cases, a decent fee is probably the only way we can compete with the parachute payments many other clubs have received.
  14. Happy birthday fellow red! It was 36 years ago today that I became a dad!
  15. So where do suggest we increase our income then? Why are all those in hospitality yuppies? Just interested in your answer. What a great defence! Do you think that might stop a fine and/or playing behind closed doors? Where do you suggest we replace that loss of income from? School finished yesterday didn't it?
  16. Yes let's go back to the old ground as it was. Let's get rid of the income from hospitality and let's go back to training at the BOCM ground on the Portway.
  17. Apologies, so does mine now. It didn't used to, but I understand it is now part of the vaccine passport since mid November.
  18. My point is that at present you need to show a vaccine passport (which does not show any booster jabs), or a negative lateral flow test result (which can be forged at home). Even a PCR test, which seems to be mainly done by yourself in your car at a test centre, and can therefore easily be made to show a negative result, is not really satisfactory, unless it is caried out by a doctor/nurse or other trained staff.
  19. I've been saying this all week, but have yet to see it questioned on any of the TV interviews/forums or whatever. Vaccine passports should show vaccines including boosters or an official negative PCR test.
  20. Had a great night there many years ago. Very intimate, as he came among the tables telling stories you felt that he was talking to you personally. Was fortunate to win a prize in the raffle to raise funds for the children's scanner. "Where you from then?" "Bristol." "Bristol??? That's twinned with Beirut, isn't it?" RIP Jethro, thanks for the laughs.
  21. Quite right! Of all the sports he was good at, my claim to fame was that I beat him at cross country! ?
