Football commentary (i.e. stating what is happening) is easy. Passing an unbiased opinion is what many so called commentators find difficult!

I don't think you do recall correctly. Laycock joined the board with Lansdown and Dawe in 1997 as a significant investor and went on to to become vice-Chairman under Scott Davidson's leadership, then chairman in 2000 when Davidson was ousted from the board before taking a back seat a year later to allow Lansdown to take over at the helm. Pulis was appointed manager of Bristol City in July 1999, prior to the start of the 1999–2000 season. As such I fail to see it as SL's decision.

No, they shouldn’t have a problem, but they very often do. I still remember, several years ago now, when we were playing at Portsmouth. I was sat in the second row with my wife and young son. He was about 10 at the time. A group of said inconsiderates in the front row insisted on standing despite being asked to sit. We ended up having to move, as did an elderly gentleman who was in tears and who could hardly walk.

.......and anyone who has paid for a seat, and prefers to sit and watch the game, should not have to put up with inconsiderates who decide to stand in front of them and who then hurl abuse when asked to sit down. That's what also pisses people off!

Sitting or standing is not the point. It's the inconsideration of some. Some people have no option but to sit on their hands (or in there hands as you put it), due to an inability to stand. But as long as you can do what you want, I suppose that doesn't enter your head.

There are quite a few who were in the Prem but who have dropped well below us, even with parachute payments.

Many others have passed us in the other direction and some of those with points deductions for poor financial management.
