Not condoning Yates at all, but Maddison is a petulant ****, he's always picking up yellows for dissent and these stupid situations he gets himself into. Opponents know exactly how to wind him up and they know how he'll react. The performance v Southampton was a fantastic watch and well worth the money, just can't understand how that same team can be so poor in the next 2 matches. Over years City do have an absolute history of doing this though, regardless of who the manager is.

Yep, agree with this point, my point though is we've obviously identified the squad needs strengthening, buying these players will do so - but for next season, not this season. Forget the Leeds performance, I never expected a result from that game anyway, but to my mind we are just looking to see this season out with what we have and to me that is very disappointing.

When we're buying players we could really use now, but loaning em back to their clubs for the rest of this season - it just says to me we think we're safe and we've written this season off from any achievement perspective and we're planning for next season.
