  1. Still can't believe the old bill wouldn't let us out early. Caused their own post match problems as a large majority of City fans would have been long gone.
  2. Yes but we were talking about PP clubs that could be promoted this season.
  3. https://m.basketnews.com/news-193181-london-lions-ownership-under-scrutiny.html
  4. Made me laugh listening to Dyche being interviewed at the weekend. Stated he had no idea of the financial difficulties he and the club would have to face over the past 12 months....... Really !!!! Everyone with half an eye on football finances knew Everton were in trouble a long time ago.
  5. They never have had any money. They just borrow money and lend it at a higher rate. Everton are down to the tune of £200 million owed to 777. I think part of the PL's requisites going forward is that if 777 do takeover then that loan should be converted In to shares. Thus leaving 777 with a £200 million debt at high interest rates. And as they have no capital themselves then administrtaion is the only way forward. I can't see how a takeover by them will ever be approved, which means Everton owe 777 £200 million plus interest. Total mess all round and not one that Everton will escape from unscathed. (in lay mans terms 777 have debt bombed Everton to try and force the sale through).
  6. They are out of PP, so the 4 would be Norwich, Leeds, Soton and Leic
  7. Hull can only do it at the expense of West Brom. Norwich can't be caught, so still 4 from 6.
  8. Pedant alert..... Rugby is the Premiership. The Premier League changed it's name in 2007.
  9. I normally agree with your thoughts but not this time. Would love Ipswich to go up at the expense of one of the PP clubs. Hoping Norwich and WBA (no longer in receipt) miss out for the same reason.
  10. Back in the 80's I would usually put a pound on a 10 match Acca . Won a few times but you soon realise there is always a 'banker' that won't come in. (Eg Man Utd v Burnley ) I now only do free bets and cover them with a lay bet on betfair to guarantee a profit.
  11. Define better. We are still mid table, Stoke,QPR and Wednesday have all been in and around the relegation places until the last 7/10 days
  12. Sir Geoff

    King

Suspect he will be Pearsons first (coaching) appointment when he gets his next job.
  13. I think Davefevs worked out there will only be 13 Saturday 3pm home games next season. That could be reduced further If Cardiff and Swansea are moved.
  14. Thanks, Dave. I thought that would be a rough guesstimate. As I said before, I wouldn't be paying more than that. £5 million is taking the Michael.
  15. Any idea what he is worth in Burnleys 'books' (amortisation value). Seems like he has 2 years left on his contract, but what was the length of his contract and how much did he cost, initially. Anything over that value imo we should walk away.
  16. Will the number of lies match the number of Taylor Swift song references Sam Matterface got in during the West Ham Liverpool game on five live ?
  17. Surely if the team play well and win then that is the bare minimum metric. Fewer people will have something to say or praise because that is the expected outcome. Fall below that even a win playing boring football is going to draw more comments and an amount of criticism. The balance you refer to isn't as simple as win / lose = similar amount of praise / criticism.
  18. 5 years ago we finished 8th and 4 years ago 12th.......so by years you mean a few.
  19. Strange. You've been banging on since October that you had no expectations above mid table and now talk about top 6 with a very similar squad. Major miracle needed, not minor.
  20. Not sure the first march will be a great barometer. Early August, people still on holiday, match will be live on Sky. I guess the club could boost numbers by making it a Mates Rates game.
  21. Martin Keown just quipped on Talksport that De Zerbi got his teeth done earlier in the season in readiness for the Liverpool job. Simon Jordan couldn't stop laughing.
  22. I think what you're getting at is known as recency bias.
  23. How on earth is the business done in January better than what we did last summer.
  24. Marshall clearly stated 8000 (appreciate thhat was a week ago) Where are you getting 12000 confirmed from ?
