  1. Why is he asking Bell to constantly drop in to the midfield and try link up, he brings nothing to the game like that. He's better out on the touchline 1v1. Pring isn't offering an outlet to help him either
  2. I think I see it. Bore Boro to sleep and maybe score on the counter.
  3. Rennie up to his old tricks again I see
  4. Quickly becoming my favourite player at the club. Did lose a few battles to Dykes today but didn't let it rattle him. Very calming influence and seems to be one of a few consistent stand outs even when we're not playing well. Would like to see both Big Rob's at the back soon!
  5. Looks like the team spirit, fight and patterns have been coached out of us in 3 days. Lucky they were a poor side like us, most other sides in the division beat us based on that performance. They can feel hard done by as the Sinclair trip was debatable as a pen shout. Bell had his shirt almost ripped off in the box too. If we play like that at home we're gunna get picked off on the break constantly. Can't do much in three days but if that's the early signs then I'm not getting my hopes up. Feel for Cornick/Conway, barely got a touch because we're too busy knocking the ball around the back and hoping something will fall to us. We need to see improvements quick as that was mind numbingly boring to watch.
  6. People expecting much change this season even with a new manager will be disappointed. We haven't got the players to play attractive possession dominating football, 95% of the squad are terrified to dribble past a player in case they lose it, it's just not what we've got. Hell of a lot of running but quality on the ball when we get into the opposition third is something we are lacking in the squad. I can see a few tweaks to some players' games but it'll be the same old story until we get another midfielder or two who can drive past someone and get other teams defenders panicking. We already played at a high intensity and energy when trying to recover the ball, even Mark Robins said we had the metrics of the best pressing team in the division after we played Coventry. And the best players at passing forward into good areas are Vyner, Dickie and Naismith. Says it all really. I'm hopeful for LM but he's got a lot of work to do to try and get even more out of the midfield and forwards to create more chances.
  7. That's our man to get promotion, welcome to the club Liam. Who's ready for trips to Old Trafford and Anfield next year?
  8. Dorking Wanderers manager/owner win record must be through the roof 10 odd promotions in 20 odd years, get him in. Win percentages not at the level mean jack-all.
  9. HPC is second to none. Box entries. Do sharks care about Mondays?
  10. Messiah Tinnion has said whoever comes in has to play the way we play now, not much will change. He's coming in because he seems like someone who won't hurt anyone's feelings in the hierarchy. And the hierarchy has said they are expecting promotion so if we don't get into the top six this season then we can start pointing fingers higher up for not getting "what they want." Well they've got what they want now. Back to the old cosy club.
  11. There's the inspiring and exciting appointment that was touted at on here then! It was bound to be him, wish him the best of luck but if we don't get playoffs this year my attention turns to JL/BT. If he says anything like box entries or corridor of maximum opportunity I'll have a breakdown.
  12. We haven't got the players for that, been saying since the start we've got a load of runners and bar Naismith/Mehmeti and the departing Scott we've got no guile or creativity to get at teams like that.
  13. You said I didn't read twitter or interviews regarding that quote about an inspiring or exciting appointment, yet you didn't either? Absolute waffle. You've just taken what one person has said on here who's probably heard it from our resident manager Ian on one of the podcasts. How about you read twitter or the interviews if you're so certain it was said and prove it. Not one person from the hierarchy has said that in the slightest. So don't expect an inspiring or exciting appointment either!
  14. The only person who's said inspiring or exciting appointment is our resident manager himself Ian Gay.
  15. Don't think anyone comes in until the international break personally. It's a vigorous process we're going through
  16. I don't even remember Tinnion or anyone saying the words "inspiring" or "exciting" appointment. Where's that come from? I've got nothing against Manning coming in if it is him and i'm pretty sure this is the type of appointment the hierarchy want. Just would prefer something a bit different like a foreign coach to come in.
  17. This is Steve Lansdown's Bristol City, there won't be any informing of the players tomorrow because our main targets probably told us to do one and now we're scrambling around for anyone who would put up with the restrictions they've put in place. All this talk of different managers and it's still probably going to be Manning. I'm super pessimistic after Tinnion, Millen and Holden appointments and can't see any out of the box type coaches coming here.
  18. We have lost the plot now haven't we, without a manager for half a week and we're talking about blueballs and meatspin. Dread to think what this place will look like if this drags on.
  19. Might have been a little aggrieved if it was the other way and if you look at the picture from behind the goal I can understand the frustration from their fans. But in real time it's pretty much a 1 on 1 with the goalie, it's not like the defender is rushing out to block Knight. I guess that's what playing out from your 6 yard line to your defenders can do, invites serious pressure if you don't play the right pass. Inside it's not a red but outside it is.
  20. Two pretty even teams, even with the red card the game could have gone either way. Both teams lacking quality once they get over the half way line, wish we had a bit of purpose about us when we get one v one with defenders or can play someone in behind. The pass is on but rarely ever played. You could have thrown a blanket on their midfield and striker they were defending so narrow in the first half, they knew we wouldn't break them down through the middle without Naismith. Opened up a bit after the red card. Good game from Max after a few dodgy early passes, commanded the box and what a save to keep us in front from that free kick. Some decent performances but a lot of slow predictable possession isn't going to hurt the better sides in this division.
  21. Dickie trying to force the issue with that pass forward for the double post chance, him and Naismith seem to be the only ones willing to take the risk to play that forward pass at times, missing that from our midfield.
  22. Good finish, Conway not mucking about and putting it in a good area, fortunate deflection but well switched on from Dickie to get a touch on it. Just gotta keep moving the ball left to right quickly and spaces will pop up, too many safe passes when in their half.
  23. Weimann and Knight both go hiding when we have possession, happens way too often. Off it they work hard but on it but I never see them showing for the pass, always see them behind markers.
