    Rudoni.

I like Cornick - in fact we first recommended him to City in 2012 when he was playing for Christchurch, before Bournemouth took the chance on him.

But right now, if they were a similar price, I’d take Rudoni every day of the week.

    Much higher ceiling with Rudoni

To me, would suggest cornick is a non-starter as if we haven’t gone for rudoni (likely due to having no cash) the same will be the case for cornick.

All fair comment but we must maintain the great OTIB tradition of writing off a player before he gets started.?

Not writing him off, but currently I’m not sure what he brings that makes us better, apart from maybe his versatility (which I don’t always think is a good thing) and a determined attitude. I’m just not sure where he fits in to improve us. I know it’s early and I’m keen to see more of what he can do but it’s just my initial thoughts

  3. With the signing of Naismith, we’re blessed with left sided cb’s, and Naismith can cover dasilva if necessary. On this basis, I see tower heading in loan for minutes with a call back clause in case of injuries.

I can actually see idehen sticking around the first team as back up at rcb as physically he is well developed and it would benefit him to be in and around the squad. I’m expecting quick progression from him and would also be a means to saving money from dipping into the market. He would/could be an understudy to kalas/klose as rcb.

I also see Owers sticking around as understudy in cm as he can learn a lot from the likes of king et al. Certainly could do with experience out on loan but we’re in a position whereby we’re u sure whether massengo will stay, will king even play, injury records of Williams etc, it’s worth sticking around for an opportunity. Again, also saves us spending in the market when we can develop one of our own.

bell and Conway see above. Jury is out on both for me but looking at the pre-season vids, they definitely seem to have developed physically and confidence is high so maybe one or both could replace wells as backup should he be moved on and again saves us spending in the market

  4. Chukwuemeka is available on a free isn’t he? Not agreed a contract with villa and runs out end of June I thought. Waaaaay out of our league though but then some would say that of Scott if he wasn’t ours already

We have to change style depending on opponent, for example against Stoke we wouldnt be putting crosses into the box due to there big defenders

Cardiff we would use pace to expose the lack of speed at the back so on and so forth

We didn't rely on him last season and we won't this season, we are more about tram work then the individual now,

I largely agree with you but with Semenyo specifically, he has come on so much that what he brings dictates the positive way we play. Without that, my concern is that we have no one else in the team that can create that positive attacking nature that drives the team.

For what it’s worth, I don’t think we should change the way we play to suit the opposition. We need to play our way, be comfortable doing that and have players to suit the system. Constant change leads to inconsistency.

Yea whis going to replace him?

We could go 2 up top with wienman and Martin

    Or could play Wells

    Or Conway

    Or bell

    Or Henry

I mean we really are lacking for options.........

I don’t see either of those as replacements for semenyo IMO. Neither offer the same attributes or style of play. Semenyo was one of the highest pressers in the league last season which allowed us to turn over and create those counters where he had the pace, power, strength and ability to score/assist. None of the aforementioned players give us that so we would have to change style of play or simply won’t be as fruitful in attack compared to last season.

  7. The way I see it is given all the time o Leary has been at the club whilst Bentley has been here, and he’s been given playing time, he has not developed his ability beyond that of Bentley to completely oust him as first choice. Max has good points to his game but he is still not as good as Bentley and is of an age whereby he needs to be playing regularly as first choice. It’s simply time to move on to progress his career and allow younger new blood to challenge our best keeper

  8. Bentley is a very good keeper and is settled. Simple solution of extending his deal on a lower wage a la weimann will hopefully be done.

O’Leary at 25 needs to move on and become a number one elsewhere.

this French guy to be a new understudy to bentley and challenge for No.1
