  1. Should both be polishing Bellingham's boots regardless.
  2. In what way? Phillips breaks up play better and has better distribution.
  3. Henderson won’t get a sniff. It’s between Phillips and Bellingham. I’d play Bellingham, plays at a higher level and is far more dynamic.
  4. Team 1 with Bellingham in for Phillips. Wouldn’t have him playing as a 10 in Team 2.
  5. Appreciate we’re skint and it’s “only” £9, but it does feel cheeky to increase prices after the dismal season we’ve had. Not likely to have a big summer either.
  6. I agree. He’s also clearly got his head screwed on as he chose Dortmund over United. Think he’s too sensible to come back over here and deal with the English media when he could easily be a long term replacement for one of Madrid’s midfielders. Would be very disappointing, I can’t see it happening myself but who knows. Be amazed if Liverpool paid his transfer fee.
  7. Think he'll end up at one of the top Spanish clubs. Would be good next to Camavinga in the next few years.
  8. You can click next without selecting an option.
  9. Taylor’s death has hit me for some reason. Lovely guy and a fantastic drummer. Seen Foo Fighters countless times live and he’s always delivered. Feel for Dave too, that’s the second band mate he’s lost now.
  10. What were you expecting for the season? A lot of people were predicting 17th/18th which is about where we are.
  11. He’s not as good. I do think we’d be a better side with him in goal and the transfer fee from Bentley invested into other areas though.
  12. There's no point. The Lansdown looks terrible most weeks as the majority of seats are empty. Further development of the stadium should be bottom of the list for the club.
  13. 3 managers have had a go and he’s produced diddly squat in return. The guy is still dining out on that goal v Norwich. Even when he turned up he didn’t look particularly special. I’ve never understood his plaudits, I don’t care if he goes and smashes it at another club, there’s been more than enough opportunities to produce and they’ve all been squandered.
  14. He’d have to improve pretty much every aspect of his game, and develop some end product. Definitely possible but it’s a big ask.
  15. I've really liked what I've seen of Tanner, handled the move up the leagues just fine and been pretty steady. Everyone moans about us missing out on Ollie Watkins etc, Wilson is likely to be one of those in the future. If the fee is reasonable it's a complete no brainer.
  16. Her mentality during the whole build up was top notch. Absolutely battered her opponent in her last fight, won a new contract and gone and put that display on. She’ll go on a tear now. Won’t touch gold but should sit at the bottom of the top 10.
  17. I will sleep soundly in my bed tonight knowing MMA is the best sport about after football. British MMA is on another level at the minute.
  18. Just based on the way he's carried himself in the last few years I agree. Rumours that we're looking for outside investment back it up as well, wouldn't be surprised if we just do enough to tread water until a change in ownership happens.
  19. Depends if they're leaving someone spare. Someone on the back post is nearly always a good idea.
  20. You surely don't believe that? Thats a watertight source!
  21. He isn't paid 30 grand a week.
  22. Depends on the lengths of their contracts. Can't remember the lengths of any of them so can't comment. If they're tied down then yes you can.
  23. The flip side of that being that we're paying a lot of wages to players like Wells, Palmer, Kalas and Dasilva who aren't contributing a whole lot. Its all ifs and buts so no point going off on a tangent but they certainly could have been invested into trying to keep a few of the players we let go. Has no effect on the current situation so no point digging too deep. I don't think its a mindset issue as much as it is just lacking direction. There doesn't seem to be a clear plan of attack other than hoof it up to Martin and hope Semenyo reaches the flick on. Add in a lack of leadership and organisation at the back and you're in trouble.
  24. They should be doing better but you're either a leader or you're not. Seasoned professional or otherwise. I expected more from Klose but Weimann is going to struggle to influence the positional play of the back line. It's ironic really, Lansdown prioritised being a business over being a football club (selling our best players to stay within FFP and be nice and profitable) just to leave us with a squad lacking real quality and leadership, and we've still nearly failed FFP! I'd rather we were in this position having held on to a few and at least tried to go up, than keep on selling and have terrible transfer business.
