  1. Needs to be more composed at times but he brings pace and and urgency which we badly lacked yesterday. Neither James nor Williams were looking to carry the ball forward and were happy to play it sideways or backwards. Scott did the same when he came deeper to get on the ball as there was then nobody in front of him to then give the ball to, with Williams and James alongside him. We needed someone more dynamic in midfield. Wonder if Weimann could do a job there as he did for a while under Holden when Massengo isn’t playing just to provide some energy and forward thinking.

Ok. I personally wouldn’t go out of my way to wind up a group of people when I’m on my own and then be surprised when things escalated. Forget football it’s just a stupid decision.

It's an emotional game, you taunt others who've likely had a few drinks after scoring and you're asking for trouble. It's disrespectful and people won't stand for it in their own ground. Not saying it's right, but it's completely moronic and asking for trouble. You wouldn't wind people up and then cry about getting smacked in a pub or anywhere else, as you'd behave sensibly. It's more a life thing than a football thing.

I can't comment on different areas of the ground as I'm in S82, but when I used to pay on the day the atmosphere was terrible wherever I was sat in the ground. Not everyone wants to sing and that's fine, but if you want to sing and you're not in S82 then it's a good idea to try. Maybe people do, but considering it never amounts to anything there's probably little demand. I'd like to see a pocket of home fans in the Atyeo as we had for Derby and Fulham in the last few seasons. I was there for both games and it felt like the old East End being next to the away fans. I'd sit/stand there over S82. As for fans chucking stuff on the pitch, I'd imagine it's the 15 year old wannabe hooligans who strap on a pair of CP goggles and think they have a license to be a complete ****. Personally, I want the atmosphere to be as toxic as possible for away players but it's stupid to chuck cans etc on the pitch. Put that energy into giving them dogs abuse instead.

No it wouldn’t. We’d end up with tiny pockets of fans all singing different things at different times which would stop an atmosphere developing. It’s hard enough getting the whole of S82 to all sing the same song at the same time nevermind the whole ground who don’t sing at all.
  6. He’s playing his best football since he arrived so he’s doing better than Holden and LJ. There’s more to come from him though, he’ll improve when he has better players around him that want the ball.
  7. I know I always stick up for him, but yesterday shows how crucial HNM is to us playing well. We need someone in the midfield who will play dynamically and break the lines, I thought Scott would try and do that but he faded out of the game. Was really surprised HNM wasn’t introduced as we were clearly lacking in midfield from minute one. Far too many people underrate him, we’ve not had a midfield performance quite that poor with him in the side. We need another player of that ilk. If Massengo doesn’t sign a new deal we need two. That for me would be number one priority in the summer, although there’s plenty of areas that need addressing. We cannot start next season with that midfield and expect to survive comfortably.

Exactly. Don’t condone it but if you play stupid games you’ll win stupid prizes.
  9. Ok. Not sure if you’re agreeing with me or not to be honest. This being our second best period since before the First World War is terrible to me.
  10. Yeah Bell’s issues were down to himself, he’s not a wing back but his decision making was still awful. I just think that in fairness he got very little support from his team mates other than confused looks and a strong word in the ear. He should’ve had support in closing down their left flank from Kalas and either James or Williams.
  11. Agree with that, you could see him turn to his right, see his option and then turn back in. That slowed our whole game down massively as everything had to go down the left, with all of Bells attacking moments coming from receiving the ball well up the pitch. I just don’t think he’s quite ready for the championship yet. Absolutely no shame in it mind.
  12. Agree. He’s got a lot right but he’s also got a lot wrong. Have to wonder if he’s the right man to rebuild the club, but the wrong one to manage the team… The summer is make or break. There’s no excuses after an important transfer window.
  13. Williams and James threw Bell under the bus big time. Bell was struggling but he had absolutely no support so could either close down a man and be passed around or stand off and be run at. Once again we played at a lethargic pace that prevented us creating anything. If that’s our midfield next season we’re in trouble.
  14. We played the exact same both games. James and Williams were shocking, neither of them helped out Bell at all and offered nothing other than sideways passes today. Today certainly wasn’t his fault, but I was disappointed with Scott today. For a player of his quality and potential you’d expect him to try and take the game by the scruff of the neck. Not saying he should have, but he could have. Again not criticising the guy but if you want your 8 figure move to the premier league, that’s what you do.
  15. No it’s not, it’s the exact same as the previous hundred years. Nothing.
  16. We were just as shite against Coventry. Just passed it round the back before lumping it up to the forwards. Played much better when we kept the ball on the floor and split defenders with through balls rather than hoofing it.
  17. The bar really is on the floor isn’t it? We’ve done the bare minimum if we’re being honest. I doubt not going bust, building a new ground and losing a playoff final was the dream when SL took over.
  18. Because it’s the one constant in two decades of no progression? Can’t knock the investment in infrastructure, but hundreds of millions of pounds have been wasted through terrible decision making and general incompetence. Roll on American investment. We’ve been crying out for an experienced DoF for years now. Wouldn’t mind Pearson taking that role and running the football side of the club and letting a fresher coach lead the team. Haven’t got a name in mind, but feel like that might be the better way of doing things.
  19. As someone that’s stuck by Pearson, the problems inherited excuse doesn’t run after the summer. We’ve got to do a lot of business with very little money to not be worrying about relegation next season.
  20. You’ll catch pelters for it but I agree. Hundreds of millions of pounds put into the club to move from 3rd when Lansdown became chairmen to 17th, with a relegation and many forgettable seasons sprinkled in the middle. Had some great moments but there’s very little to show for it on the pitch. At least we’ve got an alright stadium and our own training ground.
  21. James and Williams don’t work together. Far too defensive and neither look to progress the ball up the pitch. Needed HNM to be that box to box midfielder and drive at the Birmingham defence. Hoped Scott would do it but he ended up letting the game pass by him unfortunately. Dont understand how we’ve regressed so much in the space of three games. Look clueless going forward after we’d appeared to turn the corner. Just knock it round the back before hoofing it up the pitch. Very poor.
  22. Don’t want to see James and Williams together again. Neither progress with the ball, just recycle it backwards
  23. He’s playing shite at RWB currently. Have we played a forward pass on the floor? It’s been sideways and backwards before hoofing it to no one.
  24. Bell can’t play right back. Can tell he doesn’t want to be there, no confidence at all
