  1. Summariser is pretty good, knowledgeable - talking about the under 18s/21s a lot so I guess he is one of the youth coaches.

They do talk a bit too much though. Don't need to fill all the silence on a televised game unlike radio.

  2. Well, she did keep calling the match a 'face off' and referred to Steve Torpay. But I guess that's not what you were referring to!

Haven't watched Robins TV before, what's downsy usually like?

Did enjoy seeing highlights from a 'classic match' that wasn't recent. But that might only be because we don't beat them very often. I seem to recall a 5-2 home win under pulis? Akinbiyi scored shortly before he left?

    DIRECT BUS FROM RAIL STATION

Wanderers have teamed up with Arriva and Chiltern Railways for a brand-new bus service direct to Adams Park from the High Wycombe rail station on home matchdays.

The service will run with one 70-seater vehicle departing the rail station (bay X3) at 12.45pm, 1.30pm and 2.15pm, heading direct to Adams Park with no stops. Fares are charged at £3.

Return journeys will run from 5.15pm and 6pm.

It is intended that the services will drop off and pick up outside the Adams Park gates, but it's likely that local traffic may require passengers to disembark at the Hillbottom Road roundabout to enable the bus to begin its return journey to the station for the next service.

No mention of whether it runs for midweek games.

    Alternatively...

By train: High Wycombe is served by the Chiltern Railways line, connecting Birmingham to London Marylebone. The station is approximately 2.5 miles from the stadium, and you can either walk, head to the bus station and collect the 32 bus to the Hourglass pub and walk the rest, or travel via taxi.

  4. Thanks. It's been good looking through them seeing some of the games and players he mentioned to me over the years. I'm keeping the ones of personal significance - ticket stubs from the first one he took me to in 1999, and the last one in 2019. Two wins - a lot of defeats in between!

  5. Thanks everyone. Have sent some emails and a few have now been claimed

Just did a bit more digging and found some more - he would have bought these as a collector as he was only born in 1959. A few pencil markings but mostly in very good condition

  6. Hello reds

My Dad, a life long City fan, passed away in December.

I've been working through his collection of city programmes, books and other football magazines. Some really interesting/unusual finds - I had no idea we played Juventus in 1970. Anyone complaining about fixture congestion and long journeys for midweek away fixtures today clearly never had to deal with the anglo-scottish cup. Also found a 2006 academy handbook, with a team photo of the under 13s including a young Bobby Reid.

I'm in the process of working out what to get rid of and what to keep, but if there is anything in the list below of interest to anyone then do get in touch and make me an offer. Likewise if anybody has any advice on good places to sell I'd be keen to hear from you.

    Cheers
