I do recall some annoyance with the ever present "we are where we are" 😂

    "It's as simple as that".

Ah... the dude will be missed, but life goes on.  Looking forward to seeing how things pan-out. I'm optimistic about Liam Manning, although they do say it's the hope that kills you. 🤦‍♂️

  2. One question I have is how would this club actually cope in the Premier league from a governance point of view?  They aren't doing that much of a job running a Championship club. I could be wrong but BCFC seems devoid of heavy hitters and football people. Surely the demands on the club would require a vastly improved governance structure. We would need several people of a similar calibre to Gould across the board.  How would SL cope with that?  Or Jon for that matter?

Personally I'd go and approach Plymouth for steve Schumacher he is perfect for that we need and fits in to what the club had described! Pay the compensation fee and get it done ! Then hopefully he brings morgan whittaker and bali mumba with him!!

Are manager / coach salaries and related fees included in the FFP calculation?

  4. Watching that was a bit of a shocker, I almost felt sorry for the bloke.  There is no way Jon should be fronting-up a football club, he doesn't have the inner strength for the job, you can hear it in his voice.  I blame his old man for putting him in this situation.

  5. Bristol Live have Cotts in their list of 10 potential managers to replace Nige.

There's no chance imo given the nature of his departure, which for me has a similar feel to the current debacle, but it gave me a laugh on this Monday morning.

"He’s searching for a new opportunity off the back of a fine job at Shrewsbury Town and while some may declare “never go back”, City remain an itch he’s never been able to scratch and he’d jump at the chance to breathe fresh energy into the building at a time when everything seems to be drifting."

Blimey when i was at school if you wore a different teams shirt for everyday of the week, you wouldn't have fitted in, intact it was a miracle if our parents could afford one replica top,

I paid for my entrance fee with a paper round.

Italians have too much style to wear sweat shop made football shirts!

I think the 'made in a sweat shop' part is a myth.

Pretty much all of the clothing worn in Italy is made in sweat shops. In fact, there is a town near Florence, Prato, which is full of Chinese owned sweatshops. That's probably repeated all over Italy **

Clothes sold in shops in Italy with 'made in Italy' labels are absurdly expensive and not especially high quality.  A huge proportion of the populating are really struggling, especially in the south.

I will say though that Italians are very image conscious, as the saying goes, an Italian woman would go without food to buy a new handbag.

Specifically about club shirts - in my experience, it's common to see young people wearing the Italian shirt.  During Internationals, there are flags everywhere!

** OFF TOPIC: .  Two reasons for this I think: 1. they have sold off a lot of their industries to China, Germany etc. 2. They can't compete head-to-head due to having to price their goods in the over-valued Euro, rather than the Lira.

Actually, all of my post is probably off topic.

  8. The Championship is petty chaotic, but other things being equal (our form and that the points per game of the bottom 3 - 5 remain the same) we will be fine, given the games we have in March and the first two games of April.

However, it will nerve wracking if we are bobbing around the bottom 6 in mid April.

    We're going to be fine.
