I remember that.  Came at about the same time as:

”Who are they looking for?  Harry Roberts!”

…as the police tried to catch the gangster who killed two policemen in a shootout in London.  He was released in 2014 after serving 48 years.

Can remember away at Walsall to the tune of the Addams Family

Duh duh duh duh (clap clap)

Duh duh duh duh (clap clap)

    Your father is your brother,

    Your sister is your mother,

    You only sh@g each other

    In a Walsall family

  2. Can remember the night we battered Crewe 4-1 in 1990. Their keeper was a lad called Dean Greygoose. He was having a torrid night, not helped by the EastEnd giving him his own chant (rare for an away player)!

    Hey goosey goosey

    Goosey goosey goosey goosey gaaaander!

Some clarity appears to be hitting them.

    Waels a sh** owner.

    Starnes is a sh** CEO.

    Widdrington is a sh** DOF.

Barton is a sh** manager. As are his staff.

    The players are sh**.

I would say that the club is absolutely sh** from top to bottom, let alone a mess.

Own up, which one of us has infiltrated AssChat this evening?

And after the minute’s ‘silence’, Holloway climbed on to the railings in front of the Rovers fans and told them what he thought of them.  A very decent action.

And he (Holloway) went on TV after the match to say he was ashamed.

My best mate is a Gashead. He was at Trumpton in May 1990. He recalled Holloway going over to the home supporters and offering anyone out who dared to make a derogatory comments about Dean Horrix (who had died a couple of weeks before the match).

Holloway is Gas through and through, but he's been decent and respectful on a number of occasions.

"We're all having a party when Matty Taylor is dead" dear oh dear, in all my years of watching football and visiting grounds all over the country I've never heard anything like that being sung by fans, they really are the weirdest bunch of fans, they never cease to amaze.

We had a song with a lyric about Mike Barrett which shameful. Although that was in the 1990s, I'd like to think it wouldn't happen now.

Yeah, for 12 or 15 mil if he does the business whilst on 'loan' from his new club.

We would effectively sell him for peanuts, develop him further and see none of the financial benefits.

Or, he could produce more of the same, with no enhanced value and with less time on his contact.

  7. I'd take £3m cash and negotiate a 12 month loan back for next season included as part of the deal. Gives us cash and a player that we know has some ability. He'd likely be off next summer anyway with only 12 months left on his current contract.

2001, 2011, 2021. We were doomed to have an awful team and these kind of decisions. Even the rearrangement of this fixture in the first place seems like fate.

The question is, who cursed us? A shithead no doubt.

Come on own up.  Who’s be dancing around the garden in nothing more than a Red and White bobble hat putting spells on the gas?

    I'm Brian......and so's my wife

I always remember landing in O'Hare international in Chicago a few years ago and the security chap mentioned he was a Chelsea supporter and a member of their Chicago supporters club. I mentioned not everyone in the UK lives in London and that I lived in Bristol. 'Ah, Bristol City, yeah'. I mentioned there was another Bristol football club and he genuinely had never heard of them. :) True story.

Fair play to you for trying to boost awareness of Bristol Manor Farm FC!

Confession is good for the soul!

(Hope you have a shit night tonight btw)

Miah, how gracious of you!.  Honestly, the season is most probably gone, so a bad result would sting (never want us to lose) but might force some changes which may benefit us in the long term (caveat....be careful what you wish for)!.

I'll have a few quid with you that most members of this forum find out how  we have got on within a few minutes of your own game ending , I don't mind admitting that- if we are mid table- the next result I look for is yours. I think that is all 'part of the fun'.

There is a certain irony in your post in that it is on the one 1301st page of a thread about us . Enjoy the rivalry, I do :)

I’ll fess up! I always look to see how the Gas have got on. I started watching city in the late 80s. At that time the clubs were very evenly matched (on the pitch at least) and the rivalry was bloody fierce. Even though over the years we’ve pulled ahead of them generally, I still can’t break that mindset of having to see how they’ve done (or more commonly these days, who they’ve been done by!).
