Assuming figures are accurate, we do take more than the Gas....not many more, but more. And they don't have to travel as far. And if they had actual roofs and a decent ground fewer of them would travel to see a real stadium!

Not a specifically important date in the grand scheme of things.

Although very significant to me as it was the first time I attended a match at Ashton Gate.

We lost 1-2 to Mansfield. A perfect introduction to life as a Robin.

I recall Gordon Owen getting pelters ("Does your missus know you're here???").

And a bloke I was standing close to was on at their goalie (Kevin Hitchcock) for the entire match (Hitchcock, you're #£;7ing sh!73, you'll always be sh!73!! etc).

I think Hitchcock moved to Chelsea shortly after.

I've been stuck with City ever since .
