  1. Oh, I see: it's ok to tell people to wear track suit bottoms, but not to tell them not to wear them?
  2. I can't see what sort of trousers Neil's wearing there, or if he’s in fact wearing any at all. Not that I'd dream of telling Neil what trousers he can wear. Perish the thought. Can only see one hand, too.......
  3. I wish now we had gone 365 days without a penalty in 1987, would've saved a lot of pain and raised hopes leading to crushing disappointment.
  4. I think the club announced when we played Man Utd that we could've sold "twice the number" of tickets sold for that game. That might just have been a standard thing to say in the circumstances or a way of saying demand outstripped supply a bit, but this part of the country is definitely an "up for the cup" type football area, interested in the occasional big/knockout game rather than being yer week in, week out sorts. We did actually sell 42,000 tickets for a game v Walsall about 8 years ago, let us not forget.
  5. His father isn't potty trained yet (etc, and so on)
  6. You ever need any Paraffin mate, or fuel to heat yer cow sheds, give me a shout.
  7. Some very literal people on here taking everything rather seriously (unless I'm missing some thing?) this morning. I thought I'd come on here and find everyone in high spirits ...
  8. There needs to be an age limit put on blokes wearing track suits/ track suit bottoms, in public. And it can't be 74. Or even 47.
  9. Correct. Bristol City will be his last job. He is clearly keeping his "hand in" while he waits for us to finally call him, even if it means waiting for SL to move on. He'll be in his 80s when he manages us
  10. Why don't we improve the AG atmosphere and stick away fans in the Lansdown, next to and/or above the actual Lansdowns, and have City in the Atyeo?
  11. Ok. You go down the right, I'll go down the left. See you in their box
  12. Enjoyed that one, didn't have Robert Elms down as a cricket fan.
  13. Yeah, still using a roll pinched from the Football Special train to York, March '84.
  14. Put it on the fire/in the wood burner, gone in half an hour.
  15. He's a sinner; he tried being a Saint but it didn't go very well.
  16. Just so long as they don't all draw today like us .....
  17. He came on at Burton, that was in March. I think that was his last appearance. I was there to witness it.
