Not that they are interested in us of course
Hello Pikeys

You can't just assume that! They'll need to canvass for what happens under the canvas...
That'll just make it tense under the tents.

You have to say that, because of the ramshackle piecemeal developments around the ground, it's starting to look like their old spiritual home. If I remember correctly, Eastville had six different roof structures, similar to the old rugby ground of today. Not many clubs could boast having so many different structures. Makes them quite unique really.
Packed out.
Nothing changes.

Someone suggested that Zebra Finance had withdrawn their season ticket credit plan for all EFL clubs, so on this occasion it's probably not the fault of the 15ers. Sadly!
Suppose its down to how fast clubs react to it.

How does that compare to their eventual total last year, Rob. Any idea?
I think it was around 6k last season.
They may get close to that as they're now apparently offering a credit facility - the renewers and early bird buyers had to pay up front apparently as the credit facility wasn't in place in time. Tinpot.
Losing 65k a week, over 16m in debt, and attendances taking a hit.
Homelessness beckons.....again.

They did last season, but thought they were being "turfed out" at the end of May!
Didn't realise that.
Horfield common it is then..

What is happening with their training ground? Last I heard, they were being turfed out and had nothing lined up for this coming season?
Also, excuse the probable silly question but what was our income vs wages £ / % ?
I think they use Cribbs facilities ?
Which are quite good.

In debt in debt? Is that like Mickey Flanagans "Out Out"? they started out only meaning to be "overdrawn", but then they found themselves "in debt" and now after Wael of Fortune came to town, they are "in debt in debt".
Seems that way
Apparently its not real debt as its owed to the Al Qadis and that nice man Wally.
So the logic is " how can they be in debt to themselves ?"
Poor buggers.
-
There are a load of really thick feckwits on that pikey forum.
I just had a peek as its running up to their AGM and some stupid belter called Hugo came out with this after an exchange over debt (apparently they don't have any debt because its the Al Qadis own money);
Look, I have no idea if we are in debt or if the AQs are just spending their own money.
Does anyone actually know either way?
If BRFC are in debt in debt then yes, that's a worry obviously. -

Women throw smaller shot putts, lighter and smaller javelins and have lower hurdles with less space between them. I think the goal is only thing I would suggest should be changed, pitches can, after all, be made bigger or smaller by the home team to suit.
I watched the highlights of the WWC so far and at least two goals were long range chips which were down to the size of the keeper. There was a similar effort by another player, but the goalkeeper was much taller and dealt with it well.
I think the City ladies keeper is only about 5'6" although very good.
I'd agree with the changing of the goal sizes and playing on the smallest ptich width/length.
It can only help the womens game in the long term.

There was an "official" statment from the CSF, three posts down on this page though I struggle to read it, saying that it wasn't any of their members.
Our esteemed local rag has also given it credence..

Mark Little signs for them.
Bit surprised at that.
Must want to be back in the area as there are much better options for him I would have thought.

Good to see some input from the Derby fella - gives both sides of the story and his input has given a lot more context imo.
Maybe Derby aren't off the hook just yet but it does seem like they've acted within the interpretation of the rules if not the spirit.

I took that as their first season back at level 2, as it stated 1990. If you take the latest average, it states ours as 20,953 from the year 2018, so obviously that's this last season 18/19. So theirs at 6,209 would have been 90/91, their first year promoted.
http://european-football-statistics.co.uk/attnclub/league/brir.htm
That is from 17/18.
Our average last season was 21,080

This was about the same time as the EP did another comparison between the two clubs, this time using attendances to point out the narrowing of the gap but, using all attendances not just home attendances. This meant that although our average home attendance was 11,500, theirs was 6,200, when the average for the whole season inc away games, where the attendances were much larger than theirs, it appeared that they were closing the gap. And people say there's no bias in the local press.
When they won div.3 in 89/90 they went up with an average attendance of 6,209.
Their first season in div.2 they averaged 5,932.
Then 5,876
Then 5,752
They must be unique (as they would say) in gaining promotion only for their attendances to actually go down.
(their attendances were as low as 3,200 a couple of years prior to that promotion)

Just done a quick calculation. They`re losing 65k a week and if we got about £1.5m from Posh for Mo that would be enough to cover their losses for getting on for six months.
I bet they wish they had players that were actually worth money rather than ones who just toddle off to Walsall for nothing..
They seem to have a habit of letting players contracts run down and leave for nowt.
Or persuade them to stay with a small buy out fee then bitch about a club meeting that fee...

This is getting a bit of a boring thread now.
Blokes going round in circles.
I'll wait till something comes of it - or not.

£300k? Don't be so ridiculous - we'd let his contract run down, and then he'd go for free.
There does seem to be a pattern of this - Lockyer and Clark this season isn't it ?
I would think both would be in excess of the fabled 300k ?

Be more than that with interest!
Was it 450k interest in the current accounts ?
So pushing close to another 4m loss up to June this year ?
Not long now...
Oh dear, what a shame, never mind.

SO THE GASH OWE £20 MILLION
AND THAT IS UP TO JUNE LAST YEAR
THEY DID AWFUL AGAIN LAST SEASON TO TODAY
SO THEY OWE EVEN MORE THAN £20 MILLION
PROBABLY AROUND £22 MILLION OWED
Losing around 65k per week...
It should be an interesting AGM in a couple of weeks
-
Seems the Pikeys are finally waking up to what is happening but a lot of them don't realise that the accounts they've published are up to June 2018. It'll be a whole lot worse by now.
They need to produce a Lloyd Kelly or two from somewhere - then again, they'd probably flog him for £300k...

Indeed, world class trolling.
And its hit the spot too
They gave him hell apparently and he gave them some back.
He's now publicly had a go at them, nice one Stefan - always welcome at the Gate
How's the stadium coming along Pikeys ? What was your chant last time we met when the Ashton Vale project had failed ? Oh Yes, "we've got our stadium." That was as premature as proclaiming to be the 6th richest club in England - that's weathered well. Gave us a laugh though - still doing so.
Keep 'em coming my deluded, ragass neighbours
