  1. I think Usyk will retire now, and watch the unholy scramble for all the belts, apparently the IBF is supposed to be the next belt up for grabs next. Social media will be ( more than usual) intolerable with all the protagonists calling eachother out endlessly, not looking forward to that

Embarrassing behaviour. I'd be mortified if my auld fella carried on like that. The guy he tries to headbutt is about half his size ffs.

And "Big Bad John" looking worriedly over his shoulder as he runs away from the tiny man

Does anyone actually want Fury to win?

Nope, not me, fed up with all of the Furys antics and monosyllabic schoolboy insulting of opponents, hope Usyk dismantles Fury piece by piece. I can't see it but hoping anyway.

Aren't they just...that road into Montana I just don't have the words to express how much I like this post!...

I'm heading down that way in a few weeks, going to the Little Big Horn battlefield, don't know why I haven't done it before as it's only an 8 hour drive away from my house. If you think the road to Montana is bad, check out my drive to work, Medicine Hat to Fort Mackay in Alberta, that's mind blowingly boring straight roads, do that trip every 14 days, ugh!

I’ll own up and say I live in Coalpit Heath

Nice, I used to like the pubs around there, especially the Half Moon ( I was a jitter who went in the biker side of the pub) many years ago now, ahhh memories is all I have left

I beg to differ , I lived in Yate from 63 for 11 years and I hardly knew any gash (one or two maybe) it was definitively red !

Even at school (Sodbury Grammar) the only two I knew who were deffo gash were Gordon Bennett and the odious Clarke Osborne !

e.g. on one of the special trains to Leeds (1968) it was like a school outing .

You must be about the same age as my elder brother, he went to Sodbury Grammar and he said the same, but lads my age, I'm in my early 60s now, definitely more Gas than City unfortunately

Easy - I am 47 now and my generation and below (in Yate) City was definitely a majority.

The generation above me were Gas though without a doubt.

Yep, I went to college/ work with alot of Yate boys they were nearly all Gas, I'm in my 60s,  used to drink with them in the 002 and The Tern, I'm from Frampton/ Winterbourne and it was the same there at the time, no idea now as I left Bristol 40 years ago

I was at AG in the open end for the cup game in '74. Thought that was a crush until the Liverpool game which took it to another level.

Was it Bremner who scored for Leeds?

I can recall that the Leeds fans were better behaved than the Liverpool fans were a round later. Sample of 1 so not scientific.

Couldn't make the replay, I was in class at school when we won, but remember the shock when I got home and heard the result.

It was at that Liverpool game that I learned to stand in front of the barricades in the East End and not behind them, couldnt breathe!

Yep. A pitch parade for winning a F.A cup tie. It’s small club mentality . Sort of thing we’d rip the piss out of the 15er’s for doing . Isn’t there someone on here from S82 ? It’s tinpot lads. Oh & stop that ******* bouncing nonsense as well . Pathetic

Just stroking Tinnions ego here methinks. He'll be back on X (Twitter) tonight

  10. Worst Christmas Day for me was 2017, North of Fort McMurray, woke up with my head and neck feeling like it was on fire, went to medics at work and it turned out to be shingles, the pain got worse over the following days along with the leaking pustules etc. Best bit about it was that it was -45C outside so when the pain got too much I just doused them with water and went outside to literally freeze my head. Best one for me now is just any time I get to spend with the Mrs and our kids/ grandkids
