Hope you are enjoying the Isle of Wight

, unfortunately Northern Alberta oilfields, big oil doesn't give a fig about work/ life balance, we're all just a number to make profit for the shareholders. This is my last few months before I retire in March thank goodness

  2. I've already had my Christmas dinner on 10th December as I'm now working away from home until I fly home on the 27th. Trick for keeping turkey juicy is to raise it in the pan on a rack then pour chicken stock into the pan, it then evaporates into the turkey whilst it's cooking

  3. 2004, I went to work in Bremen, Germany, on the weekends used to either go watch Werder or do the touristy things. One Saturday me and my mate decided to visit St Petri Dom the big cathedral in the city and climb the towers 250 odd steps to get a better vista of the city, as we climbed the last step to enter the viewing area, right in front of us emblazoned in big letters was " Germany 1 England 5" considering this was a few years after that game I was surprised it hadn't been removed, still it made us laugh and of course we posed for photos

It's an observation of mine, that Manning has a whole plethora of words and answers, very much ' Coaching talk' that can be rinsed and spun in interviews.

He doesn't take time to evaluate his answers...they are a gattling gun of responses, that sound 'intelligent', but when taken into context like today, will shoot you him the foot.

Sadly there are a lot of Ashton's and LJs in his approach to responses.

I feel the return of Bullshit Bingo is on the near horizon, so bloody tired of this seemingly never ending cycle

Rinse and repeat, I have watched a 40-odd-year wash cycle, and still, my shirt says sorry still not ready yet, I did not go down today simply because after 55 years the scales have finally fallen from my eyes, remember this I was 24 years old when we last played in the top flight, I have now been collecting my state pension for nearly Two years, yes really so all you Twenty and Thirty somethings who think it's only a matter of time be afraid very afraid. you like me may NEVER see us play top-flight football again. It's depressing, isn't it?

Same for me, I was lucky to see City in Division 1 and for the couple of seasons beforehand. I now live thousands of miles away from Bristol so only get to watch on Robins TV and have the same sinking feeling that I will never see City in the top flight again, bloody depressing how fast life and football seasons pass you by

  6. I always loved the Christmas Market in Bremen,Germany. Beautiful setting in the town market square, and it went from near the end of November until just before Christmas, they used to have markets there every Saturday too, great place to visit

  7. Neck guards are now being worn in Junior Hockey here in Canada, I went to the Medicine Hat Tigers game last Saturday and both teams players were wearing them, the playersdidn't seem to like wearing them as loads of them were left on the ice for the ref to pick up and discard during breaks in play!

I wouldn't be surprised if he's been tapping up Mark Robins

I'd be surprised if they didn't surreptitiously reach out to him after we played Coventry tbh, Steve's younger lookalike wouldn't be too bad in all honesty, better than blummin Rowett anyways

To be honest, a certain poster hss been harping on for years about the PA in the Dolman, but the South Stand has generally been not too bad, but this season it is completely inaudible. How it ever passes safety regulations is mind boggling.

As a Safety Officer in gas plants in Canada, over here all tannoy systems have to be audible during normal operating procedures in case of emergency announcements, you would have thought that in a highly conjested stadium ( that will never apply at the Slumorial!) that would have to be a requisite to get the Safety Certificate, but who knows.

Blimey when i was at school if you wore a different teams shirt for everyday of the week, you wouldn't have fitted in, intact it was a miracle if our parents could afford one replica top,

My parents couldn't afford to buy replica shirts, the only shirts I had were the season befores Blackhorse Boys Club ones as my Gramps used to help run it, and I used to help him do the pitch lines and put up the goal nets every Saturday morning!
