He's likely to be moving up the ladder of the football leagues, wouldn't be shocked if he moves to a low Championship or high League 1 club, likely to move on a free. Even less finance for the sags. 24 with 250+ appearances. Although he may not be a massive miss quality wise, Dopey used to go on about his leadership skills, and it's fair to say captaining back to back promotions with late resurgences in both seasons and this season he's probably not wrong. But what it does mean is he'll be a huge miss in the dressing room, if they are in the same situation by December as they were when Dopey got sacked, no one will be able to lead them to the form they've been on in recent months. Which is why in my opinion, he's potentially the worst player they could have lost. But the sags dof said earlier in the season 90% of the squad were out of contract at the end of the season. Comedy as always that their club is run like that. But likely to be a massive squad overhaul, and of course that worked very well under Buckle. This genuinely seems like history repeating itself. NOTE: Just as I write this they go 1-0 down. Love it.

In my personal view I'd be shocked if they let him go anything less than a million. I mean they did manage to get something along those lines for Harrison, who having talked to an Ipswich friend of mine is dire. I disagree with the comment that they'd sell for £300k, I think in recent years they've only sold their best players in exceptional circumstances. I'm pretty sure their manager claimed he was one of the best strikers in the division and had worked with him at another club which is why he was signed so I do doubt that he'd let him leave for peanuts. Wouldn't be shocked if someone like Hull came in for him though. Of course it'd be vastly entertaining to do a Matty V2 but unfortunately I think the inbred sags might have learnt a lesson or two since then.

My thinking too. I don't think many Championship clubs would want him unless his form continued after the summer, and I don't think League 1 clubs would pay what Rovers/their manager would want for him

Me personally I don't think they'll lose him. Yes they lost Bodin, Taylor and Harrison but taking them as individual cases Harrison's shit, Bodin only had 6 months left on his deal and Taylor had a low release clause. Unless they receive a lot of money for Clarke-Harris I don't think they'll sell him, and he's not on a short term deal because I remember when he signed the Coventry manager going on about the deal that he was offered by the sags was very good for League 1 standard and should see him out for a couple years. But it looks like they're going to have a squad clearout this season so it'll be interesting to see how they manage to find more non-goalscoring strikers. Plus I don't think Clarke-Harris' form will keep up next season in all honesty. They keep him and then he has a horrific season is what I think will happen.

You're not wrong but when they went down to non-league that was relient on two unrealistic results, whereas this is relient on probably 10+ unrealistic results. If they win today, unless 22nd win away to 1st they're guaranteed to stay up.

Think it's almost guaranteed that they're staying up now, it'd take a ridiculous and unrealistic set of results for them to go down. Fingers crossed that their goalscorer is off in the summer, even if he isn't they have no one else and they can't rely on him all season, also spoke to a Gas mate of mine and he said their goalkeeper's arguably been POTS and he's on loan. In either case I think it'd be far funnier to see the sags proclaiming their goalscorer is the best striker in the world and keep him whilst rejecting multiple-million pound offers for him to then be atrocious next year, Coughlan sacked, bring back Hollowhead, and relegated.
