I don’t think this will end well. It sounds as though there are plans for those that moved into A block last Saturday to do the same this week, and continue to stand up. This will result in confrontation between those standing and the stewards, and hence the club. If so, the club will not back down. It would be very easy to stop any future happenings - just stop selling tickets for A block and only allow current season ticket holders access. As there are very few sell-out games it would have minimal affect on finances. Something like this would cause bad feelings and not help  any future discussions about standing

Problem is the club statement hasn’t expressed any positivity towards the move in the long term/ that they are open for discussion. So the people moving to block to improve atmosphere are therefore taking matters into their own hands. The club could say look we fully appreciate the desire to improve atmosphere by moving to this block and we can have discussions in summer when st holders are fully aware that they will be buying tickets for the singing/standing section, but for now play by the rules and treat current st holders in there with respect

  2. Think this needs to be organised properly in the summer as fully understand the argument for some season ticket holders who bought their ticket at start of season not expecting to be standing and with kids/elderly. That being said I bet some st holders welcome it and there aren’t many there anyway in the e 34 see image. I estimate less than 10% of the block is season tickets. (Image from Blackpool home game coming up presumably nearly all tickets unavailable are sts as game so far away)

My fear from the statement the club put today they don’t want this because of the perceived “trouble” / police costs . Arsenal spurs yesterday there was only a line of stewards between away fans. They’re in a different stand here so don’t see the issue and makes the atmosphere 100x better

As I (admittedly somewhat confusingly) outlined above, the terms and conditions of a season ticket permit the ticketholder to move seats up to 3 times per season free of charge. There is no requirement to notify the Club, stewards, or anyone else prior to doing so.

    image.thumb.png.340c3604740045aea482e8729e7faee9.png

Therefore if you are an ST-holder and you have sat in your assigned seat (or area if your ST is in the unreserved area) then you should simply explain to the stewards that you are using your right under clause 10.1 of your ticket terms and conditions, and are moving seat for this match.

If this will be the 4th time you have moved seat then yes you should contact the ticket office and pay the difference between the seat price in E34 and your pro rata season ticket price.

Alternatively if you are flush with cash just buy a match ticket in E34.

My question would be if you don't have to notify the club of changing seats using your '3 free seat moves' then how will the club/stewards know if you are on your first second or third? You could just say each time to the steward oh yes this is my 2nd time free seat move

@RedMwere the guys in the ticket office able to check the supporter system, even if tickets themselves couldn’t be printed?

I believe so I gave supporter Id number and ticket person looked on the system and the system told him the exact seats I booked. Although I could only do this as the confirmation email had come through. This didn’t come through instantly, about 11 30 so guessing some fans wouldn’t of had this when they got to the ticket office. Maybe they could show their bank card they purchased with and match it from that?

Jon Lansdown will be raging with what happened in A block second half but surprise surprise having vocal home fans next to the away end makes a massive difference to the atmosphere. Changes the feel of the stadium. Tells teams we aren’t their bitches like that mans Brazilian wife said.

schooooooooool in the morning, made me laugh in their welsh accent. Fans were quiet first half in Dolman block by Swansea fans understandbly so given how shite we were and came out for the 2nd all buzzing and chanting away even before the goal, fair play to them

Just to caveat, we still don't know what the new Independent body will say. Yes we are confident but a new Independent body only just appointed may see things differently if it was something creative say. Depends what we've agreed and whether the new Independent body concur that such arrangements are valid- we don't know IMO. They could turn around and say "Player add-backs for lost transfer revenue? Not likely". If they have a different view then clubs will be scrambling to sort things by the summer.

The question is, are they bound by prior agreement between League and clubs?

I don't think Richard Gould would rely upon Player add-backs or 'creative solutions' to satisfy our FFP obligations, this is where someone like RIchard Gould a good honest CEO has earned his salt unlike previous administrations such as MA. I thought he came across very well at the fans forum, hoping Alexander can carry this on...

  7. Yep they were decent today until they got a player sent off for a needless elbow to the face then went downhill from there, handbags after between players and even the managers going at it. Should maybe focus on themselves rather than trying to fight everyone it seems. Defiantly had the quality and chances to win todays game.

The ref was shit - no doubt. But we are still not streetwise enough. We don’t “get in” the ear of the ref enough, and that matters. When  basham was getting treatment Robinson was in the refs ear, pointing out all the things he thought were wrong, ref was smiling and had a little cuddle before it restarted. Things like this matter. We need to influence more, and moan less. Frustrating and yet again we have officials who imo lost control of the game.

the offside was blatant, sharp knew.

also - the ref was always ok to book a player, but didn’t want to know once any of their lads had been booked. I hope he reads this (minimal chance haha) cos he is a spineless weasel.

as nige said pre-match we are still too nice about how we go about things
