  1. I agree, but theres nothing to suggest if we do rebuild in the summer that anything will actually change, just that weve sold the family silver, and no one js worth much until we find another great academy player
  2. Hes not a play maker 10, but he is a very good player
  3. Thats why the hierarchy feel we are a top 6 side!
  4. Hes not a bad striker at this level,, unlike some of the shite weve signed over the years!
  5. Anyone setting up to close the game out, we dont have the quality to break them down. If someone wants to give us a game we can stretch it out, and give a good account of ourselves
  6. Hes on ignore for me pal! I used to love steve neville playing for us too
  7. Hes right though re taking news from official club media before believing it, we are currently also following a news story about a leeds player based on someone they know in harrogate hearing something… and there are a load of others on this forum alone
  8. Like us! Apart from no danger of relegation
  9. Muller was ridiculous, incredible goal scorer,, reminds me of greaves as an out and out goal scorer?!
  10. Rip to a legend, fantastic player, the german equivalent of charlton for england,, their all time greatest player.
  11. I remember having patricks for a bit that I swapped for some toys, but eventually settled on adidas world cups with the cool red white and black pattern on the sole. There must have been others but cant remember now!
  12. Sports fair was great! By the late 80s they starting stocking foreign shirts,,, loved them, i got a glenn hoddle monaco one with loads of shirt sponsors, and the first shirt id seen made by nike!
  13. Why the hell is the football league adding that game in between boxing day and new years day,, this is what happens!
  14. If we hadnt sold our best players over the last 5 years we would certainly be better than we are now…. But we have signed so much shite over the years to replace them with that it’s embarrassing… combine that with some shite managers in charge and owners that couldnt get us into the prem if they plowed a billion into it, then really, nothing we could have done would have gotten us up
  15. Surely ronan is a boyzone kinda guy
  16. If we played like man city and scored 4 or 5 most games, it most certainly wouldnt be boring, and guardiolas barcelona, with messi xavi and iniesta are probably the best technical football team the world has ever seen and scoring 4/5 per game was easy for them… we are bristol city, and not very good, set up with players designed to play counter attacking football and not enough money to sign the players needed to play highly skilled passing football.
  17. Im not sure we are playing to anyones strengths, sam bell is having a significant drop off too,,, fast paced counter attacks with a high quality playmaker made us dangerous last season, knocking the ball around at the back and taking no risks doesnt suit our lot
  18. Agreed, what was happening wasnt working, some alternative plan of how to play just didnt happen,,,maybe 2 strikers through the middle.. maybe encouraging full backs to push on,, and be more positive causing millwall to have to worry about defending against us, but there was only being passive, and then bang, they score,, to the surprise of no one who was watching.
  19. its been like that since 2015,,, and really, for the last 100 years!
  20. So easy to play against, there is no cutting edge, but there is this concept of manning playing front foot football that is a falsehood unless we have the players to play it, which we dont,,, but there is no alternative plan if it doesnt work
  21. They have been going to home games long enough to know how it really is!
  22. Just back,, my kids first away game! Had a great time!
  23. Yes the wages saved from that group must be huge, literally millions will be saved now this lot have gone, and you wouldnt say we are significantly weaker now they have all gone!
  24. Was anyone really expecting a call from the club regarding the manager appointment?? Si, its jon, how you doing pal, so we are looking at liam manning,, we are giving you the final decision… what other clubs do that?. and as for the accounts being released,, I consider myself to be fairly switched on,, but the date that bristol city announce this year’s corporate losses (maybe even a gain this year if scotts fee is included) has zero impact on my life, or my opinion from a supporters point of view! Are people planning partys to check the figures and need advanced notice of when to book a suitable venue? Presumably some accountant within the group is preparing the accounts, which may or may not require auditing, which maybe outside the sphere of influence of jl, so him not knowing the date of release is of little consequence to him or anyone else,, there are plenty of other complaints to raise about how the club is run!
