I kinda figure manning has come into a better set up than most have had, in terms of good set of lads and a tonne of cash in the bank, and no imminent threat of relegation.. given we have a “top 6 squad”, which should have been queried last night, he ought to be doing ok as the new chosen one. We all know that we are a midtable side, with not a lot of star quality now scott and semenyo have gone, but theres a lot if teams in and around us who have similar quality. I dont know if we are good enough to play a possession game,,, but seeing as weve been pretty shite for the last 100 hundred years i dont see any issues with supporters getting wound up with what they are seeing on the pitch, regardless of whether matt withers looks down on them for doing it.

He is a bright guy, but weve had so many false dawns over the years, we will have to wait and see if he is any different,, i dont see any reason to think we wont finish 10-15th this season, if manning can get us into the top 6 i will be surprised, and delighted!

Without kane or bellingham we just arent that great, foden saka and grealish are alright in the premier league, but this is north macedonia, and theres very little quality.

I havent anaylised the results, but fundamentally from watching naismith, im not upset if hes not playing at centre back, and i would also prefer dickie and vyner if they are both fit. Im of the opinion that if manning wants us to play a fast possession game then get tgh signed up and move naismith, and one or 2 others on to free up the salaries.
