  1. The ipswich stuff might be selective but so many teams have overtaken us over the years its no wonder we get hacked off, if ashton was to get them up im sure a lot of us would be horrified, but it wouldn’t be a surprise at this point. The only club i cant see overtaking us are that lot north of the river who are so tinpot they make us look like brighton.
  2. Yes, by definition we cant afford to sign players like that, those 2 with a fit conway through the middle would be a real handful, but now they are gone to finance the next round of questionable signings.
  3. I do wonder if hes aware of tommy, and how similar he looks!
  4. We havent got 2 keepers?
  5. I think covid, and the failure and cost of the lj/ ashton years has killed off any love that SL once had, and paying out the wages for some of the shite weve signed must have been pretty galling, especially given the list of clubs who have gone past us and played in the premier leqgue.
  6. I think kal has a place in midfield along side james, or in his place if hes out, but seeing as he was brought in, presumably on a good salary as a top centre back, i dont think hes been a particularly great signing?
  7. Agreed,, im up there quite a lot as my mrs lives up there so i keep an eye out for their results/ to avoid traffic on saturdays. There has been a lot of money spent and they were in the europa league not that long ago, one of the things nige has got right here is the lack of reliance on loan signings, some of these clubs have to start from scratch every year and its not easy.
  8. Hes very raw, and very quick, its almost as if hes playing to track back and press, which hes very good. At, but at the moment hes not having much impact offensively.
  9. Yes, hes pretty raw but scary quick,, and it feels like the fanbase has really taken to him. Id love for him to get a goal!
  10. Yes, why cant they do it properly? It will have posts down the front of the stand too, clevedon town has done it better.
  11. Weve had some provocation over the last 40 odd years to be fair! Glad to be back though!
  12. Blustery wet evening against a local team who will be right up for it,, i cant see this going well!
  13. Agreed,,, like we all wouldnt swap, just for 1 year.
  14. Yes i kinda suggested it as a joke initially, and was actually surprised when i was given a shrug of the shoulders!
  15. It must have been at least 2 months since all this first broke, i wonder why the op has only just been done?
  16. Me too, the we are going for the premier league stuff he came in with is clearly at odds with selling our best player and not spending anything with the proceeds!
  17. Just spoke to someone in at rovers, asked about the clarke-harris transfer.,. His view is that rovers, probably deliberately, had agreed a weekly salary figure over the phone and when he came to sign they had provided a contract with a lower amount to try and save a few quid. everything then got renegotiated and time ran out on the deal, as we know. Apparently the mythical fax machine which i joked about isn’t actually a thing, not any more anyway, but it wasnt until past 11 that the deal was finally agreed and by then it wasnt possible to request the extension.
  18. I havent really seen much evidence that mehmeti is the answer if we need anything defensively or offensively in the last 10 minutes of a game!
  19. Ah ok,,, Ive actually got tickets for me and my kids plus my mate and his 2 kids,,, if anyone drops out i will give the original poster a shout?
  20. Are there any left on the wembley stadium website? Set yourself up with a fan id number, it should be alright from there?
  21. Its pathetic but its better than it was,,, as soon as this work was announced a few months ago it was obvious they werent going to build this if there was any likelihood of the fruit market development happening. perhaps with the 300k defender signing, and the 800k jch potential signing ( if that was ever really sanctioned), plus this stand expenditure someone is actually starting to spend some money on them? There is a sense though that if you are going to do a job,, do it properly,, that ramshackle stand is clearly a bodge… 45 million or so for a rebuilt stadium isn’t affordable but doing one stand at a time would at least offer improved facilities as they went along if they could ever do anything properly…. If they could have a version of the atyeo stand where we had our changing rooms and offices for years, and maybe a supporters bar facility that would be a huge upgrade… i was up at crewe a few months ago and drove past their stadium… all nicely paved with a really nice stand at one end, it ought to be possible, even for that lot?!
