  1. Yes, was it luton at home? Or cov? Hes not the biggest or most physical so while its good that he sticks up for himself that will be 7 games worth of bans hes picked up this season,,, its something he can work on?!
  2. Oh yes, hopefully the secret contractual obligation still stands despite them having 73 new managers and a new owner since the deal was done!
  3. Yes, we ought to know better by now what might happen.. unless theres a free agent available cheap?
  4. Yes that compensation calculation is the way I understood it worked too. i dunno,, hnm has made a good living, but also, his physicality from growing up in the championship will have improved substantially and will have set him up for a good career im the european leagues.. apart from the last 6 months he probably doesn’t have too many complaints?!
  5. By all rights that should mean an increase to his compensation fee,,, that transfer has been a shocking waste of time and money for us… again….
  6. He maybe a replacement for martin, but was he really worth the cost of paying martin off, the transfer/ signing on/ agents fee plus the wage? I dont see anything he offers that conway doesnt and certainly not the big strong forward who scores goals that we are all identifying.
  7. Indeed, when youve been watching us for decades, you reserve the right to be annoyed with the millionth spineless away loss…
  8. Its bad luck, but obviously in football injuries will happen. Having said that,, anyone relying on kalas and williams to come in and give regular minutes is being pretty optimistic!
  9. Might as well give the russian lad a go,, if we are going out half expecting to lose anyway, whats the harm?
  10. Thats what football fans do.,, so we shouldnt praise alex scott because we like him and we shouldnt comment about anyone else if we dont like them? Discussing the merits of a team selection or new signing is what this forum is for?
  11. This was another option that wasnt reallly discussed before,, and considering the expense that occured, was potentially achievable.. i think its broadly what tottenham did with their stadium, but they had an alternative venue to play at when it was being built. I wonder if the new stands could have been built around the pitch to keep us there while it was being built? Also, i wonder whether rotating the pitch 90 degrees could have been considered/ of some benefit?
  12. Haha, pleased to be of service, perhaps it can enter otib lexicon.
  13. Exactly, just read the bbc article on this, they had gone the last 3 games without a shot on target, thats like the holden days for us. Still its palace, so sod them.
  14. I got shot down for this before, but he brings a fresh set of legs and experience,, but i dont know why we would bring him in with conway and bell needing minutes and wells and weimann still here to give some know how. If we had brought elijah/ a forward of that style i would understand it?
  15. Werent we supposed to be discussing fees/ terms for them?
  16. Pr1ck, the 2 defenders we should have got in january but we spent the money and wages on harry cornick?
  17. Having sykes and dasilva in wont help much either,,, its obvious to everyone we arent very physical, the one we had got sold, at least it gives nige something to chuckle about when someone asks him about it in a press conference. shame he couldnt sign a few like that who can stand up to it all over the pitch!
  18. Just goes to show that they have been down non league?, have a shit tip for a stadium, in a dump of a town, are losing their better players to us but are have spent the last 2 years in the championship play off places…. How the hell have they done that when we spend multi millions on transfers and salaries and facilities and think we are doing great sat in 13th?
  19. Haha, me too! God we have seen some shite over the years! All part of our story though i suppose!
  20. After sitting through that lincoln game, i was massive annoyed,,, anyone booing joe low needed a kick up the arse,,, it was the senior pros who completely bottled that
  21. What do we think of elliott anderson as a scott replacement this summer?
  22. I dont really think we have much choice in it, the chances of us reaching championship playoffs are practically zero regardless of how we would like to time it, selling semenyo and scott this year isn’t exactly going to help with that
  23. Yeah and they would probably be in the market for bellingham if he was to become available, or maybe rice. For a top team though i cant see why any of them wouldnt take a punt at 25 million, if he continued and got an england call up its basically paid for him.
  24. It was clear that the starting line up going forwards we were going with potential rather than know how…. Going away to cardiff with mehmeti, bell and sykes as a front 3 is very lightweight, if it worked it would have been spectacular,, if it didnt,, well we found out!
