  1. Well we aint getting points against anyone else, we are better suited to playing against that sort of team.
  2. Yeah im not sure now, that table has tightened right up,, sheffield weds were gone a few games ago, and they are close too, more importantly, we are in pathetic form, where as other are picking up points, in 3/4 weeks it could look very different unless we get a win or 2,,, that 6 point gap could be closed up in a couple of weeks.
  3. We have more chance of points against ipswich and swansea than we do against cardiff and qpr,,, they are much more open in their play and we can compete better against that sort of side
  4. The answer would have been to have recruited the high quality play maker, and high quality big striker in january, or even better in the summer when scott was sold. Twine might have been it but hes ####ed, and mabude might have been it, but hes never played a pro game in his life, when your technical director comes out the day after the transfer window closes and says we are definitely going to buy a big striker in the summer, you know we ballsed it right up when we had the chance to improve it. The other issue is the coach not having a clue how to set the team up for teams who come for a scrap, or have any thought, or intention, to change it when it doesnt work.
  5. Had to turn off the press conference interview, perhaps its my insomnia causing frustration, but i feel hes towing the party line, which he has to do in public, but i dont believe what hes saying any more than he does. in terms of the system and behaviours b.s,he has been hung out to dry. To win a game at some point you have to score, and hes really the best chance we have of scoring goals, the side needs to be set up to create chances for him if we insist on playing 1 striker, and its the game plan that’s messed up, combined with a lack of creativity. Perhaps if twine could have played more it would have been different?
  6. I really cant see anyway hes getting fired, unless we literally collapse and get relegated, or look like its possible with a couple of games to go… And until we get the good number 9 and a decent number 10, nothing will change anyway.
  7. Good luck to benarous, would be great to see him get some minutes before the end of the season. As an aside, that basic passing drill,,surely thats under 10s stuff, and yet some of them were off target?!
  8. If i was a billionaire in the public eye, I wouldn’t put up with it either,,, its clear to me that pearson wasnt well liked, and that played a significant role in him getting sacked, and being sat in midtable was a good enough excuse to do it.
  9. I think some of our first team squad are actually conference south level.
  10. How many games did holden get?
  11. Theres no way tinnion and lansdown would want king around, with his background he wouldnt want to hear their idiocy, or deal with it in anyway
  12. Whoever is in charge will still need a striker and attacking midfielder, we completely ballsed up the january window again and that hasnt helped. Im not fussed about manning particularly but the cup games were superb, some of the league games have been superb, and we have been getting turned over by more abrasive teams for years now.
  13. Dont know if this is shocking luck, or anything could have been foreseen or managed better, but clearly this signing hasnt exactly gone to plan, so far
  14. Theres no way they want king around, his name, experience, and regard in football ####s all over theirs, hes a threat to their positions.
  15. Its not hard to predict we would get turned over by qpr and sheff weds, cardiff will beat us as well, and we will look decent again against swansea. Chapter 2 of the coaching manual explains how to play against physical battling teams, but liam hasnt got that far yet
  16. Have to agree with daves article, it wasnt hard to predict the qpr result, we just cant deal with those teams, and sheffield weds and cardiff wont be much different, then we will look better against swansea. Combine that with sone questionable subs, we will be lucky to get 2 points from the next 2 games.
  17. Not sure, it had been fine with some serious work load for 20 odd minutes before it happened…. I always think the outright quick players are more susceptible to hamstring injuries, michael owen used to get them a lot, their movements are more explosive, and the wear on their bodies is high.
  18. The transfer window was pretty awful for manning, money spent but only one incoming who is likely to have much game time,, and hes injured. Not signing a number 9 is a killer though. There have been some tremendous performances, and yet we could easily see what would happen against qpr, and it did, we were pathetic… I haven’t seen anything at this point to really say getting rid of pearson was worth it.
  19. Great news, congratulations to him, I really think he can make an impact in the first team!
  20. Sad news, he was a really accomplished player, and there arent many who have scored the winner in a world cup final either!
  21. Haha, that free kick was hilarious, he should stick to trying to be a “bagsman” in the 18 yard box cause that was pathetic
  22. Perhaps we should have gone with ray harford then. Benny had been managing for years in scandinavia, there was no background as a director of football, or any other involvement in english football as far as i know. He had a decent career but matt hill was young and small and like a rabbit in the headlights in those first few games, aaron brown never progressed in the game and that season was a disaster that benny could do nothing to stop. The only fight we showed under him was against a bloke dressed as a wolf! as for mabude, the first thing tinnion said when the window ended was that we absolutely definitely are going to be looking for a striker in the summer, what we didnt need was a very young wide player who has barely played a first team game… what they were thinking ive no idea… they are supposed to be working constantly on their targets, so we are told on north korea tv.
  23. We spent all the money on forwards then bought carl hutchings to run the midfield as far as i remember! im not sure benny really had any success anywhere after us, certainly not in a mainstream european league, funny how we all remember things?!
