There was a sizable number of us City boys at Patchway High School in the late 70s/early 80s. A large and maniacal contingent went to Wembley for the 86 and 87 Freight Rover finals, as well as to various eventful trips throughout the 80s.
I haven't really been back there for about 30 years though, so no idea what's going on there now. You'd imagine there's probably even more City now though, wouldn't you?
I remember a few of us going in a pub in Patchway in the late'70s as we had some sort of function in a hall across the road, full of Rovers memorabilia in the pub, unsurprisingly the function ended up in a mass brawl, we were only about 16/17, no idea what the name of the pub was, don't think I've ever had reason to go to Patchway since

Scored twice with only one shot on target!!! They seem to get a penalty or sending off or OG in every game, is there a more spunkier team?

As a Bristol Rovers supporting, fat, white, British male, I am somewhat offended.
And you haven't even mentioned your Irishness!!!!!!

When the M1 Metrobus was launched they stated that it wouldn't have the capacity to cope with hundreds (not thousands) of fans at the same time.
Have you ever been to the AMEX in Brighton by public transport? That's the way to do it.
Caught the train from Brighton to the Amex, as you say, easy

Not forgetting that we have a new Metrobus system with a gurt big flyover and a Ashton Gate stop*
*not suitable for football supporters
Why is it not suitable for football supporters? I've used it many times

Surprised that's all they took. Thought it would be their biggest following of the season
