I wonder if he'll risk starting Twine or just give him 30 minutes in the second half?

I don’t think he’ll risk playing him personally. We have the international break so it gives him extra recovery. It’s going to be so important he’s fit for out last few games where we have nothing to play for as we strive for mid table obscurity. 🤣 Really can’t understand why we’ve loaned him. The talk is we are unlikely to be able to sign him so not sure what the sense was.

To play for Wales, aside from being a native, your parent or grandparents can be Welsh or failing that, you just have to have had a dump in one of the service stations on the Welsh stretch of the M4.

The dump is called Newport and it’s several miles from the service station

He’s going to continue giving pre and post match interviews as that’s his job. Not sure we need a new thread with the same people making the same jokes each time.

We’ve been shit for forty years - what else would we talk about? 🤣

Also what a nice big round number to land on. Not totally plucked out of thin air in the moment at all.

Seems like all the interview has done has create a clear ‘us and them’ mentality between board and fans.

He quoted we were three points of play offs after Southampton game and I think he said we were nine points off play offs now. So think the ten points in his head got us in the play offs. Needs to look at the league table now and again

Hi Nigel, Steve Lansdown here, just wondered if you'd be interested in the vacancy we currently have?

Ok, slight heads up, we have an uninterested, unmotivated and unfit squad which is currently suffering a quite preposterous injury crisis. Eleven players are out of contract and leaving at the end of the season as we desperately need to reduce both the size of our squad and wage bill. We are currently on a run of losing seven straight games (and twelve of the last fifteen). After the game on Saturday one of our caretaker managers basically pleaded for help as soon as possible and made it clear he had no idea how we would get out of this slump. Our captain and record transfer fee was holding back tears while telling the media that he had never played in a team like this and admitted that every game we spend ninety minutes desperately defending and trying to keep the score down.

Fortunately we only need a two or three wins to see us safe this season so we would like you to achieve them as quickly as you possibly can. Should we stay up we would be interested in offering you a three year deal. We have to be honest and say that the first two of those years we will be operating under austerity measures due to the threat of points deductions and transfer embargoes for failing FFP, the squad will have to be small and we will have to rely on young unproven players from the academy. It goes without saying that we cannot get relegated as the financial issues we have would be massively exaggerated should we end up playing League 1 football. After these two seasons are up and all contracts from our previous big spending have came to an end you will have an opportunity to start looking forwards and targeting competing for playoff places.

Its not all bad though, you will be 'inheriting' a 17 year old that hasn't played a minute of professional football and a 21 year old forward that hasn't scored a goal in 43 Championship appearances. If you could provide the opportunities, coaching and guidance that help turn these two into assets we can sell to the Premier League for around 35 million that would really help our current financial plight.

Should you achieve all these things while building a spirited, professional and committed squad, we will thankyou for your efforts by firing you as soon as we (wrongly) believe we have an excuse and someone on our most used fans forum will call you a failure.

This is the answer to just about every regurgitated thread that has been posted on this forum in the last couple of month. If the statement is “What is the question?” Then dear Sir this mostly definitely is the answer. My dear God there is some shit posts on this forum based on opinion and bollocks from people who have absolutely no clue. I doff my cap! 👍If we have a OTIB post of the year award you get my vote.

    Understandable.

I try not to worry about things that I can't do anything about.

    So .. about your dog...

Well i paid quite a lot for it at the time. It comes with its own little home but I let another dog use it every other week which I also bought so you’ll actually need to buy both dogs and the home if you want the first dog. I also have a female dog so you’ll need to buy that. It’s got a favourite toy which is a basket ball you can have for a small fee as well.

REALLY! WTF????🤬 I can’t believe you’ve put him in there with the other two names! The guy was a legend in his day - we all know it went wrong at the end but his work rate was second to none. He was an absolute magician - best patio I’ve ever seen!

  8. The impression I got from both Pearson and Tinnion was that we were building from the academy up so that should we change the manager then we wouldn’t need a complete rebuild. So talk of giving the summer to bring his own players in seems odd. Give him a preseason yes but a complete overhaul no.  We have capable players and a couple of additions but it’s not ability that is holding us back it’s application. Players need to put effort in every week. It’s as simple as that.

  9. I won’t be renewing. Moving house today which is a fixer upper so can’t justify the cost or the time to attend matches.  I felt really let down by this season. We all knew Alex Scott was off and maybe just me but got the impression that money would be invested to improve the squad. I trusted Nigel to get us up the table this season with a stab at promotion next year.  We will never know all the facts behind his departure and I’m sure Liam Manning will do a fantastic job over time but personally I feel disengaged from the club at the moment. If we were doing well would I find the time and money to go every week - possibly. Will probably end up missing it and get a half season ticket. It’s not a one man protest just circumstances but next year I will pick and choose the games I want to invest in - in the same way the Lansdown‘a pick and choose which managers to invest in.

  10. Five empty seats from our usual party as we were all ill. There’s a lot going around. Don’t take the tellies from the concourse cause after queuing ten minutes for a pint during half time I’d miss the start of the second half. If you do take the tellies then replace them with bar staff 🤣

I won't comment on the recent negativity, but what you can see right now is a City team enjoying its football, and that makes us dangerous.

With how we try and play - confidence is either our best friend or our worst enemy. Following last night’s performance the confidence should only improve our game

Forgot about that one, remember singing it a lot away at Chesterfield when we on 2-0, game after being confirmed champions. Ironically the big man scored that day too.

Went to that one. Half the game was spent singing “Aden Flint is having a party- Frankie Fieldings in the building “ or similar

I wasn’t on here then, but I do recall a text from a mutual mate of @Harry on the eve of that Forest game saying it was a joke that he was playing in the champ!

And then the bbc used this photo on their website the next day with me resembling a crab!!

The following afternoon headed into Cabot and whilst stood outside Smiggle (wife and daughter inside shopping) I found myself stood next to Alby, his wife and daughter inside the shop too!!!

Had a lovely natter with him.

As a player he reminded me of Joe Jordan, which is a big compliment!

Looks like a perfectly executed Haka to help intimidate the opposition 🤣
