  1. He ‘flapped’ pretty well.....eh
  2. Excellent post match interview from Dan Bentley post match Brilliant attitude and responses to q’s regarding losing his place Top keeper IMHO
  3. Brave selection and excellent result Well done lads and nice win for Sir Tom , Geoff Merrick & Co and their families to see Wonder if any of the Anti Pearson gaggle will give him any credit ......
  4. That’s down to The kid who won’t ever be a Championship forward The bloke who just runs around a lot and the bloke with lead in his boots Against all odds ....eh
  5. You seem to have some sort of strange obsession about Weimann’s defending. We have many issues to sort , but Weimann’s ‘defending’ isn’t one of them. Maybe you’ve missed his constant work pressing and pressurising opponents , high up the pitch . ( Look at our first v Reading just for example) Id rather he do that and be part of a counter than be running backwards for most of the game
  6. Interesting how Antoine said he’s learned from Marin and Weimann and how they’ve helped him Unfortunately Kalas is no leader and actually seems quite insular - Many still laud him but I’m not sure he’d be a great loss The fact he, before the arrival of Klose was our only experienced fit defender doesn’t help Having said that - after something like 150 appearances in Vyner shouldn’t need his hand holding
  7. I think he might let them know personally in dressing room or his office It was a line in the sand statement
  8. Johnson did it for over 4 years , often naming the players of course
  9. Absolutely, thanks - interested in your view He is extremely vulnerable when he’s the far post of the three ch’s - yes there’s danger you can see in front of you , but most of the time the danger in that situation the player coming from behind you I appreciate movement is much better at that level but , being blunt , if you were manager of Bris say , and had a centre half regularly caught out as he does , you’d tear your hair out , and replace if he doesn’t learn , wouldn’t you ? If he has any hope at this level I’d be working my ass off on my full back skills
  10. You could be right knowing SL Rip up the plan and try a new one , maybe reinstall Boy wonder The fact that Pearson has reduced the spend significantly , introduced and developed, and increased value in a number of Academy players and will safely keep us in the Championship , probably ticks a few boxes atm with Uncle Steve But I could be wrong
  11. As an ex defender at decent amateur level - do you think Zak has some basic requirements for this level Dave , and I’m thinking danger awareness , space / picture perception ? The number of times players steal yards on him at the crucial moment , is staggering tbh after so many games In my view if you havnt got it or havnt learnt it by now , you are unlikely to have it anythime soon The fact he repeatedly repeats the same error is shocking tbh The number of times attackers get across him , and if they don’t out think him they overpower him is a red flag to me He will get found out as a defender at any pro level if he doesn’t improve these areas
  12. despite you praying he gets the push There isn’t a chance SL is anywhere near considering it Unlucky
  13. Maybe you’ve missed large chunks of relevant news But the clear out , and who ,was to a large degree dictated by finances Be sure there were others he would have liked to have traded but if no one is interested ... Well that itself speaks volumes It was his lack of opportunity to spend and replace that was , and is the problem, , and will be for a while yet
  14. Despite your lil agenda , he will do it when he can , and , when appropriate , but be sure a few should be on phone to their agents before the summer
  15. Meanwhile Zac is wondering whether his new headwear is helping his defensive awareness
  16. For someone who was so vocal in your defence of Boy Wonder at every moment , the one who left the almighty mess Your agenda against the bloke tasked with sorting it out is somewhat amusing
  17. Individual defending faults not good enough fed up with it Has protected players up to now , but no more If they can’t do their jobs they will be replaced He was simmering
  18. Hmmmmm Pearson let rip Can’t disagree with a word he said
  19. Pearson frothing at the defending post match Slating them ’If they are not doing their jobs we need to replace them’
