Get him off the pitch FFS. He's not ready and hasn't ever shown that he is.

I don't like this one bit. Think we need to score 3 today to get anything looking at that backline.

Even at LJs age, youngish, it must be a nightmare man managing players in their 20s and younger.
The world has changed so fast in recent years.
Playing Professional football was like being in the Army...you went to war every game.
And in going to war...you fought...and didn't think about offending anyone. It was full on. Take no prisoners, win, say whatever to get results.
Now ..it's just woke central.
I'm really not sure how you go about it these days.
Didn't LJ say you had to put your arm around some to motivate and tell them how great they were, to get a result. Then others responded to a kick up the arse.
How do you motivate multi millionaires, set up for life, to give a damn about kicking a ball.
Probably would be an acceptable excuse for LJ had he played anywhere near like going to war and didn't have his actual dad with him looking after his career for 20 years!

Such a shame we rewarded those Bristol City legends for their promotion with giving them Lee Johnson as manager.
They deserved so much more.
Edit- I say promotion. Sorry, I mean double winning league and cup championship.

Sorry to bump this but haven't slept since hearing this news. I was never in favour of capital punishment but I can't see how we don't bring it back for stuff like this.

He should be banned for life. Disgusting. Outrageous.

Vyner is so ******* shit it's almost getting funny.

Maybe slightly harsh. I think he is interested (why wouldn't he be, this is the highest he'll ever play) but he doesn't have the football intelligence, concentration or ability required for this level.
He's about a midtable League One player at best imo. Not the worst defender but probably the worst footballer at the club. At League One you can get away with not being able to pass the ball to team mates provided you can defend well at that level, see, and to a much lesser extent than Vyner, Derrick Williams.

I’m glad you lot weren’t probably around watching city in the late 60’s early 70’s.You would have had Alan Dicks hung drawn and quartered.
I'm the OP and not mentioned anything about the manager. I feel sorry for him.
In all his career he's not been surrounded by a more incompetent bunch. It's a miracle he's not murdered one of them.

288 passes 175 of those completed 60% so basically every other pass goes to the other team or out of play . There is the problem. They had 521 and 417 completed. Can't pass won't pass.
And the passing has been a theme since the final 12 months of LJ's reign. Basic football coaching left this club under his stewardship. Criminal.

we will be in the championship next season
I would think so too but only because others have had point deductions.

Utterly pathetic performance from a bunch of gutless and incapable footballers.
This side wouldn't challenge for the playoffs in League One and that's the shocking reality of where we are.

Bakinson and Martin off at half time please God.
-
Christ these players are so poor.
-
Unimpressive start have to say. Bakinson looks back to normal and our only set piece ended up with the worst passer in the league attempting a cross.

Had a beef and veg pasty last night at HT (Jamaican had sold out) - was bloody lovely tbf.

Lansdown might be the least knowledgeable owner in the whole football league sadly.
Some will argue, and that's fair enough, but you can't argue that he's in the bottom 10 imo.

You're absolutely right....3 points off relegation is very much at risk. But we're not 3 points off relegation. We're 8 points off. 9 when Reading get their 9 point deduction soon.
Not sure what you mean mate? We were talking about 2016 or whenever it was.

We finished 17th that season, which is higher than where we are now.

Pring, Semenyo ? Then the likes of Bell, Benarous and Conway by next season assuming we add some experience to the squad.
Pring hasn't yet shown me he's ready or will be for Championship football, sorry. He's not a youngster either so I'm not sure he'll be at this level long - he wouldn't be for anyone else other than us.
Semenyo, maybe - he's not yet convinced me entirely, perhaps being harsh. Certainly far more likely than Pring.
Benarous looked years off on Saturday, he looked about 12 v adults. Would rather see him loaned out to L1 or L2 depending if he can get game time for the next couple years. So he'd remain off the list for this and next year for sure.
Bell and Conway - not from what I've seen could I say they'll be ready to play Championship football next year.
-
Anyone but the following who I believe have the ability to play (now, or next season) Championship football:
Bentley, Dasilva, Tanner, Kalas, Baker, Atkinson, Massengo, James, Williams, King, Scott, Weimann, Wells
So we've a squad of 13 Championship footballers (IMO) for this or next year and we expect to be anywhere away from a relegation battle....

Wasn't good enough to start for Grimsby but we'll happily chuck him in here where it matters for us.
We are academy dumbstruck at this club.
