  1. Final away game of the season at Chelsea selected for live broadcast on Sky, and pushed back to 6.45pm. it's Emma Hayes' last ever Chelsea home game so I expect that may be one reason why Sky have picked it...
  2. Megan Connolly up for Goal of the Month for March!
  3. City U21 beat Blackburn U21 yesterday 5-0. Probably the most exciting fact was that one of the goalscorers was Rachel Furness! Hopefully this means she'll be match fit for Arsenal next Sunday (Kudos to a fan page on Instagram who were able to confirm the scorers because the club didn't)
  4. Bumping this as the meeting is taking place tonight
  5. Those on this thread may have seen it elsewhere, but the End of Season Awards voting is now open. Feel free to vote for your Women's Player of the Year, Women's Young Player of the Year, Women's Champagne Moment
  6. For the YPOTY awards, the guidance is that the player would have been under 21 at the start of the season

The award presentations will commence before the end of the season, with details/timings to be arranged & then announced. The latest updates can be found on our own social media as well as those of the football club.
  8. https://www.pafc.co.uk/news/foster-departs Plymouth Argyle can confirm Head Coach Ian Foster has been relieved of his duties with immediate effect. Today’s 1-0 defeat to Bristol City has seen the club fail to win and score in five successive home games, with Argyle now sitting just one point above the relegation zone. The Argyle Board feel now is the time to make a change in an effort to secure Argyle’s Sky Bet Championship survival for another season. Director of Football Neil Dewsnip supported by first-team coach Kevin Nancekivell will take charge of the team for the remainder of the season, with Simon Ireland and Daryl Flahavan continuing in their respective roles. Chairman Simon Hallett said: “Ian was hired through a thorough and extensive recruitment process and his coaching credentials really stood out when making the appointment. “But we have to balance long-term stability against short-term decisions, and we have given Ian as long as possible to see if results could improve. “Unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case, and we feel now is the right time to make a change to give us the best chance of securing survival. “The Green Army have been incredible in recent weeks, as ever, and we need you all now to continue that support as we embark on the final weeks of the campaign with Neil and Nance in charge. “Together we can achieve what we set out to achieve at the start of the season.” Everyone at Argyle would like to thank Ian for his tireless efforts during his time at the club and wish him well for the future.
  9. I can't seem to find a direct link, but referring to other news sources, there was guidance issued for all Premier League/EFL games (which I'm guessing was extended to at least WSL games) where Israel & Palestine flags were announced as being banned
  10. As this is regarding the March meeting, I have replied in the respective thread for that meeting
  11. From what I can recall that was said (and also from what I saw at both games respectively): a Cardiff supporter pulled out an Israel flag after they scored their goal, and people producing banners regarding Free Palestine & protesting the upcoming Arms Fair at Ashton Gate

  16. The tweet has since been deleted, but the Barclays Women's Championship account posted a half time graphic for today's game between Charlton & Birmingham. Spot the issue...
  17. Finished 0-0, so there's now a seven point gap between 11th & 12th as City didn't play today. City's next game is the one that was meant to take place today, away at Arsenal. This will be on April 14th, with no other WSL games that weekend
  18. Game against Manchester City moved to 6.45pm due to being selected for live coverage by Sky Sports. No coincidence it's because we're playing one of the big teams...
  19. Chloe Mustaki ruled out for the rest of the season...
  20. Lauren Smith feature from last weekend's Women's Football Show on BBC

  23. Hopefully Furney could be back for the next game against Arsenal on April 14th. Maybe score another wonder goal against them?
  24. Also, the Gas Girls (since they reformed) have been run by Bristol Rovers Community Trust. If they were to go up the leagues, then I believe the football club would have to take full control of them...
  25. I think that seems to still be a thing in women's football. Mainly seems to be kids (especially girls) who see the players as role models. I do remember seeing some photos after City lost 7-3 to Brighton & did wonder if the kids actually read the room or not. If I was a player who lost (a game like that), I probably wouldn't want to go pose for photos etc... I've had photos with players in the past; but that's usually at smaller grounds (Stoke Gifford/RHPC), or even at away games when City players only seem to be approached by fans who travelled, as well as their families/friends
