  1. Whichever walk it is from Wembley Park tube station up to the stadium...that one. I've been to Wembley a few times already so have done that walk on most occasions. Timing just wasn't on my side today
  2. Coach meant to arrive at Wembley at 5pm didn't arrive until 5.40pm. Parked on the other side of the stadium, so too tired to do the Wembley Way walk. Went to find a spot for the flag. And it's up.
  3. Next year will be the 10th anniversary!
  4. Yeah, I don't quite know why there are less countries than the men's tournament. Think it was the same or similar for Tokyo 2020 I know that men's teams are all U23 but can have up to three players over that age, whereas women's teams can have players of any age
  5. None given by the club other than "unforeseen circumstances". However as it was the day before the Arms Fair took place, one theory is that questions about that could have been asked, and/or those against it could have turned up & disrupted it. Also, the team lost at home 7-3 the day before it was due to take place, which could have made things interesting if it went ahead on it's scheduled date. As far as I'm aware, Napier has only been sent off once. She served one ban (the Brighton game) for getting five yellow cards
  6. Press conference from today. Some key points: Smith pleased with Man Utd performance, acknowledges the away support but still wants that home win. Has praise for former City loanee Grace Clinton & Spurs manager Robert Vilahamn. Jamie-Lee Napier suspended again after being sent off (one match ban I assume as she had two bookings), Carrie Jones has damaged ligaments in her ankle & won't be available for Sunday or probably for Wales in next international break. Kudos to the journalist who asked about the fans forum that was postponed for no reason that was made public, and Smith replied that it's likely to be held before end of season
  7. Also, a cold Tuesday night there
  8. Speaking of retro shirts, hopefully those that ordered the additional BCFC Heritage Shirts will get theirs before then...
  9. Not sure if this will help or not, but if you were to buy from the England Store & you have a MyRewards account, you'll get points as Fanatics/Kitbag (who run that website) are partners. I found this out when I bought something a few months ago & it showed up in my transactions in MyRewards I am in block 140. I wanted a closer seat to you @phantom but none available at time of booking
  10. Belated upload from Sunday. My first time to Leigh Sports Village. Initially built (and still used) for rugby league, so there's a lot of references at the ground. Decent enough crowd of 4,254, considering it was United's first game at home in over a month. Probably could have been more if United men weren't at Old Trafford later that day. Still a great performance compared to previous ones. Shame there were no City goals...
  11. The draw for the men's & women's tournaments took place today. UEFA's entries for the men's tournament are determined by the European U21 Championships from last year. Although England won, Team GB aren't in due to the ongoing issues so runners up Spain & semi finalists Ukraine & Israel take the three spots (plus France as the host nation) As for the women's tournament, UEFA's entries were determined by Nations League qualification. England didn't reach the semi-finals so no Team GB representation unlike in 2020.
  12. Naomi Layzell is up for Young Football Player of the Year in the Women's Football Awards. The only Bristol City-related nomination I can see https://womensfootballawards.com/voting/
  13. I'm going as well! I have a seat in Level 1 so could get a good view of it (Side note: I'm planning on bringing my Bristol City/England flag & getting it hung up)
  14. For the men's team, definitely. Supporting the women too, there's either the threat of relegation or chasing promotion every single season for the last few years...
  15. https://www.bcfc.co.uk/city-women-news/new-date-for-arsenal-trip/ Arsenal away now rescheduled for Sunday April 14th (Women's FA Cup semi-finals weekend), with a KO of 6.45pm as it's still going to be televised. Supporter coach details to be fully confirmed soon. Anyone that booked a coach ticket but can no longer make the rescheduled game should contact Supporter Services for a refund. Arsenal Fan Services have emailed everyone that has bought match tickets (as they were selling tickets directly), and in that link is an email for anyone to claim a refund if they can no longer make the rescheduled fixture.
  16. I remember they had a different away shirt for the 2019 World Cup, which I was able to get & loved. Then for the Euros in 2022 & World Cup in 2023 they had their own kits, most of which I also got & loved too. Don't think I've ever seen the Lionesses get three new kits in three years though. Am assuming they will wear it for Euro 2025 if they qualify...
  17. Yanez returns to goal. Harrison back from injury but makes the bench. Napier back from suspension Clark & Evans drop to the bench. Jones not in the squad KO 12pm, live on FA Player Former City players Mary Earps & Millie Turner start for United. Gemma Evans ,& Hayley Ladd on the bench
  18. There'll probably be home fans around us anyway. Will be interesting to see what their turnout will be as the men are playing at Old Trafford later today...
  19. As there is unreserved seating at LSV, City supporters who are going to the game should sit in block A. If you get there late, you should spot me/us!
  20. Gotta set my alarm early to get the coach leaving Ashton Gate at 6.30am. Not sure if the supporters' journey up north will as entertaining as the team's was today (according to Ffion Morgan)
  21. About a few days before matchday on their website - the article would usually begin with "Travel Information.." This was the one that was done three days before the West Ham game in January https://www.bcfc.co.uk/city-women-news/travel-information-bristol-city-women-vs-west-ham-united-women/ Matchday bus services are usually run if the club can justify them & if there is a high attendance to do so. There were no matchday bus services for the Brighton game, and that had an attendance of 3468 (lowest for a City Women home league game at Ashton Gate this season). Looking at the Bristol Sport ticketing website, block S18 is open for the next home game with Spurs (and that block usually isn't). Overall, keep an eye out on the BCFC website (and social media) for updates
  22. Was one of the first players I got to know of when I first became a City fan. All the best to him in retirement
  23. Marc Skinner didn't do Man Utd's press conference today. Various reporters have confirmed that he & his partner are expecting the birth of their next child, and so could miss the game on Sunday. Also, City have confirmed the team will be in the yellow kit on Sunday...
  24. Some key points from press conference today: Naomi Layzell still injured - potentially out for up to 4 weeks; Recent illness within camp caused a training session to be cancelled (but everyone affected has since recovered); Abi Harrison potentially available for Sunday Carrie Jones picked up knock on training, awaiting scan results; Liv Clark injured in training, status questionable Lauren was also asked on her view about player/coach relationships, after Leicester manager (and former City manager) Willie Kirk was suspended pending investigation, after an alleged relationship with a player at the club
